what's amazing about seventeen is as they are a self produced group, Woozi always say on interviews that instead of following what's on trend they focus more on how will they most effectively relay their messages thru their songs which made me admire them more 🥹 maybe that's why you can really see their own identity on their songs. also fun fact about maestro, woozi incorporated a lot of their old samples from their previous title track to the song since Maestro is released for their compilation album. 😊 thank you for this reaction. I hope you will enjoy your journey with seventeen. This is just a tip of the iceberg of their amazing discography 💗 more power to both of you!

Aju Nice is basically Seventeen's anthem song. It gets played at the end of the concert every time. Like you have seen in Killing voice where they trick us and come back, they do that in concert too. They bid their good byes then come back again with Aju Nice 😂❤. They also take the aju nice moment to pay attention to the carats and let us have a moment by haveing us dance or sing or just be crazy!! I went to their concert last year and i had a blast!! You never get enough of them seriously. Heard they will be doing world tour again by the end of this year, so hopefully i can afford to go!!! 😭😭😭 they have released so many good bangers that i want to see live!

Yes, thank you valen, for identifying that SVT has their own sound ... ❤ Woozi does not only write and produce, but the credits are always in order of contribution, so whenever woozi's name is listed first as lyricist and composer (which is always save for three or four songs) means he's THE main lyricist and composer...
@cheesefrenchfries7 ай бұрын
What happened after aquired by hype is that BSH tried to intervene and changed SVT's song and style to the point that woozi didnt even recognize it and they never show the bts of recording process like they usually do. That era was such a hard time for Carats and we fought so hard for hybe to never ever intervene their works again. So no, SVT is not Hybe group. They are PLEDIS group.
@Riririririz7 ай бұрын
I remember this clearly. I was so mad when he put his name first before Woozi's. THE AUDACITY. Carats were sooooooo mad that he never touched any of their songs ever again.

I just want to correct something, even before they are acquired by hybe, they are already big and have a good production. Don't just base on the aju nice mv coz its understandable that their production that time is not that fancy unlike rn because its already 7yrs, so many things changed. Everything they have right now is not because of hybe, it is because of their hardwork. They are still under pledis and not controlled by hybe labels.
@valenandtheo7 ай бұрын
Hi, Theo here. I wasn't talking about Hybe taking over production or the creative processes of their songs. What "produced vocals" mean refers to how many effects and layers are added to the vocals. Hope that clears it up and have an awesome weekend. See you in the next one!
@kirstenh14647 ай бұрын
@valenandtheo I don't think OP was referring specifically to vocal production, but the overall creative production as a whole. There was something said later in the video along the lines of about how "Hybe is doing something good with Seventeen" and while it's certainly true the monetary stability has been a great aid to the overall growth now, Seventeen were already very very popular and respected performance powerhouses during their "5 dollars and a dream" eras, not just after Hybe acquired Pledis.
@Bionca._.h7 ай бұрын
@@kirstenh1464 Yeah💯 Also, the biggest reason why HYBE acquired PLEDIS in the first place was to fulfill their plan to "create synergy through the continued expansion of specialized business entities." It was a chance for HYBE and PLEDIS to come together, share their talent and know-how, and synergize. They said their new association with PLETIS's CEO and art director/graphic designer(Min Hee-jin) gives Big Hit "K-pop's BEST creative leadership." and one thing we know about SVT & their team is how creative they are... So, it's not like SVT were the only ones that benefited from the acquisition(like ppl might think), it benefited HYBE as well. At the end of the day, it's all business bc no company is going to buy/invest in something useless.. PLETIS might be a small company, but they manage one of the biggest groups in K-pop and that didn't come at a cheap price. That acquisition was a win-win for both parties, which a lot of ppl(who aren't familiar with SVT) don't quite understand or in some cases, don't want to understand lol
@marinal.7 ай бұрын
@@valenandtheo Pledis sold it's shares to HYBE to be able to support SVT more properly. They were more or less broke. Many trainees left to find other opportunities. That is why it's 13 members and not 17 as was planned. 13 members plus 3 units plus 1 team =17
@ViDhana10107 ай бұрын
@@marinal. Pledis was broke when SVT debuted in 2015. Hybe bought shares in Pledis in 2020. Pledis was far from broke then. SVT was commercially very successful and were/are Top 3 among bgs after Exo and Bts. Hybe wanted that profit too. Pledis is the only sub label under Hybe that actually makes them a profit rn.

The reason I think their dance sync is so amazing is because they have a 9 inch disparity between the shortest (Woozi, 5'5") and the tallest (Mingyu, 6'2"). Imagine how much they have to adapt for that.

Would also like to point out that even if they are acquired by that company (sorry I don't like them), Pledis still functions as an independent company and they can't TOUCH any of their songs nor command them what to do because Woozi (one of their members) is their main producer, so basically, even if that label acquired them, the changes are purely because they feel like doing the genre. They are also known for not sticking to one genre, proof is how varied their discography is from title tracks to b-sides, so it is not a surprise if they changed a lot. It will always depend on what he and the members want, the only thing pledis can do is approve or disapprove.

also, they are quite known for their ANTI-DROPS. Woozi loves it..

I want to clarify something, they are already big even before Hybe :) Hybe actually was DESPERATELY in huge debt (200 billion) from a bank just to acquire PLEDIS because of SEVENTEEN. :) And they were only able to pay it just this year. If ever, Hybe is only giving us a headache, they're not even doing great at promoting them. Carats (SEVENTEEN's fandom) promoted almost the whole thing during MAESTRO. They can't even do the bare minimum. Actually find it dumb why Pledis decided to be acquired when SEVENTEEN can earn billions for them with all the sold-out arena, dome, and now stadium tours. Also, SEVENTEEN is known as a monster group in terms of physical sales.

Also since their debute seventeen has been producing and coreographing their stuff by them selves and if im not mistaken they were the first group to be promoted by their own label pledis as a self producing idol group. Woozi along side their in house producer bumzu has produced and composed all of seventeen's music (in the credits of seventeen's songs you can see woozi's name under every single one) And hoshi and the performance unit have also choreographed a good portion of seventeen's coreo ( The funny thing is they have been working with the same choreographer from their debute track to their last come back maestro. All of them have been choreographed by choi youngjoon)

"very nice" is a big hit of seventeen. Especially in korea, even if they don't know svt everyone knows that song, and use it for almost everything. It keeps re-entering the kcharts. Hybe hasn't done anything good for seventeen outside of providing a bigger budget- Seventeen made many songs similar to the hype that super & maestro have before hybe acquired them. The whole reason hybe acquired pledis was because of how popular seventeen was as a group

Carats are really sensitive when hybe gets mentiond because svt was already making million sales even before pledis was acquired.(its like hybe is getting praise when it was svts achievements so sorry if we are a bit sensitive about that beacuse svt was the reason pledis still exist) And since debut the main producers where always woozi and bumzu fans were angry when bsh suddenly have his name written on the credit list of ready to love. You should react to woozi's commentary live & hit the road.
