so Hoshi is the Fake aka AI Maestro and in the intro he's the only one glitching and the only one who has the stick in the choreo in the MV and mingyu is helping him and mingyu is the guard and he's holding a guard mask and wearing like a guard suit when he's walking on stage he's wearing what the guards were wearing and when he turned around the8 caught him and then hoshi got caught and in the MV intro he was kneeling and he gave the stick to Wonwoo THE REAL MAESTRO and then Mingyu is still hiding

I have been waiting for my lyrics enthusiast for Maestro reactions cuz you guys gets it! This title track is for Seventeen Best Album, collections of their hits throughout 10 years of their career. A summary of what they have done and what they will be doing in the future. A representation of their stubborness to keep their identity yet still adaptable to trends. The lyrics at glance could be simple by narrating the instrumental changes but the underlying meaning is as you mention showing that they are in control of what they producing. Up until now seventeen has been showing different genres every comeback so given MAESTRO having mashes yet seemless weaved genres really suit for the theme of best album. I really love this reaction! there's a theory going on about hoshi being the fake maestro (because it looks like he's an ai, he was literally glitching at first then and he was surrounded too at the video) and you can see that he has the baton first. and they said that mingyu is helping him (but like a spy) he's hiding from the members, you can see at the fighting scene with wonwoo (that we think the real maestro) that one of his opponents looks like mingyu but with a mask. but then mingyu got caught by the8 (you can see it at that one scene) and then the8 pass the baton to wonwoo ( who is the real maestro) and the humans win.

Theory is that at the first teaser it say's they use ai means in this mv their like comparing ai and humans, hoshi is glitching because maybe he's the fake maestro(ai) at the very beginning hoshi has failed and got caught, then there's mingyu wearing the same clothes as the people fighting wonwoo(the real maestro) mingyu might be working with the fake maestro which is hoshi but was also caught by wonwoo or the8 at the movie clip part and in the end wonwoo was the one holding the baton and commanding them cuz hoshi has been caught and human won their proving that humans will always win against ai

Ok, one, I think your lyric analysis is what separates you and is the reason I come back to this channel (other than your beautiful faces and hype energy of course). I think Maestro was so well done both in song and video and I think both visual and audio were so thematically consistent. In the first teaser, they proposed the question: “In our current reality where anything can be created by AI, who is the real maestro?” So, we had that in mind coming into this release. Sonically, There were some wild switches in this, from the beat switches to the genre switches, especially for Wonwoo’s intro w the techno beat and Minghao’s return in. I think the very form of this represented this purposeful lack of consistency in genre or tempo which I think represents novelty of human creativity. This is echoed lyrically in that they are essentially narrating production and creation in and of itself, using musical terms throughout and explaining instrumentals. Visually you see this fight between humanhood as the true basis for art vs technological replacements - either fighting them, being controlled by them, or outpacing them (saying you can’t do the like I can - to me I think the heavy footwork is part of that in that final chorus that layers the two parts of the previous choruses). The use of generative AI in art does make you question the order of what comes first, because if we keep feeding off AI in the creative process it becomes a crutch that will eventually cut off the artist themself while the distance between the creation and the creator widens to become nearly entirely disconnected. So, who is the maestro? Who is guiding, leading the music here? do we leverage tech or do we let tech leverage us? [pause for tangent] (And I’m not talking about anything like sentience of whatever that’s not really what AI is. It’s just this tool that we are too greedy and lazy to bypass on a larger, cultural, capitalistic sense, y’know - it’s funny bc I remember in English classes in school learning that conflict can be man vs machine, man vs self, man vs society, etc., but given that the impacts of ai are just extensions of human selfishness and the desire for convenience and gratification, it’s like all three of those combined, they feed each other) [play from tangent] And that is represented visually with them taking turns controlling vs being controlled by futuristic entities, or viewed through the VR set. I’m pretty sure in the interlude where Mingyu is running he turns around to look at someone controlling him, like he’s a game character. And when there is a POV shot where the watcher is wearing a headset the notification says: “Moving too fast. Content will remain hidden until you slow down” idk if that means that the tech can’t keep up with them, like they’re just too speedy to be matched, or if it’s like we as a society are moving too fast without considering the consequences here??? Idk

In my opinion, the song wants to tell us about the reality that happens right now, it's about AI and humans. They ask us who the maestro is. And seventeen want to emphasize that we, as humans, are the maestro. And AI is just an assistance, not something that controls us. In the beginning of the MV Hoshi is being captured, and after that Hoshi appeared with the rest of the performance team, but he was glitched. Maybe to explain that humans are easily replaced by AI right now. But idk about Woozi and Scoups not being present with their unit at the beginning of the MV. Uuh it's just my dumb theory though.

Yes seventeen is still kpop they dont go westernized to follow trends and for the sake of charts. Its been like this since the beggining . So prpud to see their roots they ener energy and passion still going strong after almost 10 years.

the concept of this song and mv is literally seventeen (human) vs AI & Robots like seventeen saying ai cant overshadow humans creation especially in music and the thing is they never used AI in this music video only in the trailer to pinpoint the concept.. woozi said he tried using ai and tried creating music to know whats the pros and cons using it and to know whats the disadvantage of it.. oh he didn't use ai creating maestro , yes he tried just to get what ai is, if this is make sense haha
