Woozi is a huge anime fan! If u didn't know he did a live for six straight hours talking about anime into the morning. A few more things I found out from a couple of other sources: when they say the "this is a cartoon's ending song" their formation is the flipping of pages like reading manga, when they do the ripple effect at the very end they're actually portraying how the Monkey King apparently has the cloning ability so they're making clones (look at the dancers in the black when they do the ripple, they multiply!!!), when woozi says "PING" it's apparently an ode to that anime live I mentioned where he talks about the cliche "ping!" you hear when an anime character takes off their glasses that supposedly became a meme on twitter & he decided to incorporate it into the song, and LASTLY when the lyrics say "energy, one massive shot, aim your cries to the sky" that's supposedly one of Goku's fiinal moves when he gathers everyones energy into one massive shot (woozi throws it up into the air at the end of his verse). I'm saying supposedly and apparently a lot because I don't know much about Journey to the West or Dragonball so these are other people's comparisons! I feel like there's so many hidden details in the lyrics and choreography that hasn't been picked up yet too, so there's actually quite a bit of layers! This song really is amazing

Also, I have read that people noticed something else. When Dino sings the first verse he says Sonogong in Korean, but then when Minghao sings it, he says it in Chinese, a reminder of where the story ACTUALLY comes from. And that is just so cool.

The way the choreo feels like a whole Anime arc... The first chorus feels like that training scene in a Dojo. S.Coups gives the cocky vibes after winning a few fights and going against the boss for the first time. During Hoshi's pre-chorus at 1:54, if you watch the backup dancers, it's a fight scene. The8 absorbing the energy (it's like he catches it if you watch the light in the back). Jun feels like round two with the boss, getting his butt kicked at first before gathering his energy. If you watch the backup dancers at 2:46, it's like Jun punches the ground and sends shock waves. And then... Woozi's whole ending is about one final massive attack, feels a lot like he's talking about using Spirit Bomb, given the DBZ theme. Haha! And I was waiting for your guys' reaction because I knew it would be on par with what mine was. I love the way they portray stories. It feels very cinematic.

SON OGONG (Korean Odyssey) Is the Korean name for the SON WOKUNG (Monkey King) a character from a Chinese Mythology novel. In Japanese it is the infamous SON GOKU from DBZ, this character is referred in from the Choreography also the song since it is the resemblance of the Main Son Wokung from The Journey to the west. The 2 fingers pointing their forehead is the transmission which is the ability of Son Goku. The Hand forming flower that dino did is the Kame Hame Ha of Son Goku. Mentioning the Nimbus Clouds and Power Pole. Back up Dancers representing the Shadow Clone and Woozi mentioning The Korean Term for KAME HAME HA which is the ENEORJI PA and the last phrase "THIS IS THE CARTOON'S CREDITS SONG". Basically since Son Goku and Son Wokung are the same thing but by different world from different country but hold the same ability and skills. Woozi himself is an anime Fan. He even did mention the instant transmission in their Behind the scene (Basically he wants to teleport from the set to their home) . ALSO!! a fun detail that I dunno if a lot noticed the one DK throw and Minghao catched is the same transition of Dragon Balls flying up the sky. ADDITION TO THIS! Vernon Being Trunk and Dino is the Super Saiyan having the Yellow/bloned hair and it makes more sense because he is the very 1st one to said the line " Feels like I turned into Son Ogong". Also them having Hair extensions is them portraying the monkey King because monkey King have not that long but you know what I mean just search how he looks and you know you'll understand why they have that mullets there.

Coming back to this reaction. I love this since it gives context to lyrics and context is so important. Sonogong also takes on a new meaning for Carats, especially when Woozi explained how Sonogong was written when everyone's life was not going well. Basically, sonogong is Woozi's manifestation that everyone will overcome the challenges and, in essence, battle their way through the struggles like Sun Wukong.
