You are right. 13 members, real building wired for lighting, the front entrance was built and of course, the fire panels also. I've no clue what the red is under their feet. It was early spring and cold. 200+ dancers, 4-5 choreographers. No CGI Seventeen is something else. They debuted almost 10 years ago. Their work ethic is amazing. The members are committed to each other, fantastic music (which they write themselves) outstanding choreo and their fans, carats.💎Seventeen has over 100 songs and they are always surprising us. I like what you said about the honesty in their lyrics. SO true & real. Please don't shy away from SVT because of the number of members. Everybody starts there. And you already know some names.😲 I suggest Dingo's Killing Voice. Listen to some more of their music. Then watch the extra long Caratline guide. The more I have seen of them the more I have started liking them! And that’s not just music, that’s on the individual level too! Woozi (a member of Seventeen and the main composer, lyricist and producer of the group) mentioned that he wrote Super during a difficult time for the group. Many of the members were going through different issues and he made Super hoping they could break through and overcome those hardships like the heroes in cartoons/animes (specifically Son Goku) always do.

if you listen closely to The 8 (the part after the star break), he pronounces 손오공 as Sun Wukong. this was kept in as Bumzu (one of their main producers alongside Woozi) said that he loved the bit because it puts the reference on the Chinese myth and Sun Goku closely to what they envisioned Super to be EDIT: even in the choreography, Choi Youngjun really tried to incorporate Dragon Ball Z in it (background dancers as clouds, the fingers to the forehead). and since Super was a double-title track with FML, they still reference Anime/Manga in that song too. they love a good storytelling! my theater kids forever 💖

10:03 Pledis Entertainment wasn’t doing well financially when Seventeen debuted. They had a lot of trainees and didn’t want to get rid of any of them. Having one large group is cheaper than having two smaller groups, so they made the decision to go big. Rumor has it Pledis actually wanted 17 members (which is most likely why their predebut show was named Seventeen TV), but the lineup never got that big. They most likely kept the name Seventeen because they were already associated with it And now they say “13 members + 3 units + 1 team = SEVENTEEN”

@@ALovelyPenguin Yep! The thinking was "if you made it through training you got to debut", it's why their teamwork/friendship is so strong, they were never fighting for a finite number of spots, they just had to work hard and not quit

You could watch Killing Voice to have a overview of their songs (up to 2022). Or watch the game caterer for seventeen itself to see how funny they are(?!) and have a view of all the members and the interaction btw the members

Good Dragonball catch. I remember watching somebody else explain the links they found but I just did a quick search as its not something I know about. Basically Sonogong = Sun Wukong = The Monkey King = who Goku is based on. Thanks for the reaction 😊

If you want to listen to a different truthful and meaningful song "SOS" is a really good one. Some people also say that seventeen could also could have become comedians. Two members are from USA ( Joshua and Vernon), The8 and Jun are from China. I really love these 13 Guys. If you love them you will easily learn their names. Their Sound is so good because these are so many. I can also recommend their Songs "I don't wanna cry", "LALALI" Hip-Hop Unit, "Cheers to youth" Vocal Unit, "Dar+ling", "God of Music", "Hit", "Fire", "Clap", " Cheers", and BSS Songs "Just Do it", "Fighting". My all time Favourites are "Holiday", Hoshi's song "Spider" and Jeonghan & Wonwoo 's "Last Night".

When you mentioned Hoshi, yes, that is Hoshi, but he's not the leader of the group. The leader of the group is S. Coups - the one who jumped on the dancers in the middle of his rap. However, the group has three groups - hip hop, performance, and vocal, and each have its own leader. S. Coups is the hip hop team leader as well, while Hoshi is the performance team leader and Woozi, the one who starts the song as well as the "Ener-ener-gy" part is the vocal team leader (and one of the two main producers of the group - the other is a different singer-songwriter).

Hoshi isnt the leader. He's the leader of the performance unit. S.Coups is the general leader and also leader of hip hop unit.

The Korean title for the song "손오공" (Son O-gong) refers to both the Monkey King Sun Wukong, a mythological character from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West, and Son Goku, the protagonist of the Japanese anime series Dragon Ball Z, whose character is also largely based on Sun Wukong.
