I love how all the musicians get a piece of the cake in this song, like all the solo stuff between 3:54 and 7:51, we get guitar, bass and keyboard and at the beginning the singer and the drummer is present most of the time, absolutely astounding work! Makes me so happy to know of this band :) Go, go Seventh Wonder!

Some very nice vocal harmonies, which reminded me of some of DC Cooper's past work. Tommy is wonderful and I'm sure as time goes on he'll become a stronger force within Kamelot.

I've always prefered Kamelot to Seventh wonder, but you have to admit Tommy has an amazing friggin voice! Khan is a legend, let's not forget that, but his voice is shot..that's why he left the band. Tommy can finally make it big with Kamelot. But..I hope he sticks with Seventh as well, cuz there is so much talent in this band. It's a shame they don't get the recognition they deserve. Either way..Tommy Karevik is the real deal. I think he will really "blossom" with Kamelot.

Agreed. It remembers me when Tarja left Nightwish, same kind of stupid fans that make comparisons between the two singers. Of course Khan's voice is irreplaceable and his kind of voice even rare, but no one from Kamelot wanted to find a replica of it. And of course Tommy's voice will take the band a different direction, everyone knows that, and I'm pretty sure it will be so great than it was with Khan! So please stop complaining and thinking Tommy or any Kamelot member wants him to imitate Khan.

you forgot the amazing drums. I just started listening to Seventh Wonder a few weeks ago and I'm already disappointed to hear that Johnny Sandin is not playing there anymore. I did not listen much to The Great Escape to tell if the new drummer is as good or not. Johnny's drums in this song are amazing.

no one will come close to matching Khan. Kamelot will need to take the band a different direction than where they were going with Khan.
@hunterkiller43212 жыл бұрын
I know that this guy was probably the best available choice after Khan. But the reason I complained about the new singer (Anette I think) in Nightwish, was that she didn't even come close to the style of Tarja, and made the band change when they had just reached the best they could be (in my opinion) on the Once album. This guy on the other hand is a great replacement for Roy as he actually sings the same STYLE. I can't listen to Nightwish Live without Tarja though.
@mileynick886 жыл бұрын
hunterkiller432 I can't even stop seeing this Tarja comments in a Seventh Wonder video... I agree Anette was bad for Nightwish, but now they have Floor who is awesome!!!

I like the progressive structure, the overall harmony and the sound of all instruments included. However, i can't help but getting bored: The progressive parts are limited to the rythmic parameter. What about harmony and melody? I have to admit i seldomly meet bands which apply the progressive principle on other parameters than rythm. I probably have listened to To-Mera for too long...
