I wouldn't say he was an idiot. He just didn't think she would have the ridiculously specific ability to "wish away" someone's mouth by merely speaking. I mean, the whole exchange is laughable, but it's the writers' fault. If Wanda can really wish someone's mouth away, then she has the ability to fundamentally warp reality to her liking. Which is a completely disproportionate amount of power compared to that of others, and even renders all her other powers redundant. If you ask me, it was lazy writing - far too much like a lot of comics, but in a bad way. Plot's got to move forward.

I don't know why people keep complaining about this, it's shown earlier they don't consider her a real threat, probably because their Wanda was never that powerful. Besides, if they just outright killed her then they would have just killed an innocent woman because that wasn't even her actual body.

1:25 this death like actually pisses me off sm as there are so many issues: -so wanda can just make his mouth dissapear but decides to fight everyone else normally? -the guy who's trained himself to never sneeze and go fully mute suddenly starts speaking after losing his mouth. i get the intention that he's scared and shocked but that's a pretty hard character assassination, you dont become a master class chef if you're starving so why does he start doing the one thing he doesnt do for no reason?!?! -so his body is immune to the screams but not his brain, ok sure why not, but then why isnt the area around him just destroyed?? if we can hear the scream then we can assume like the vibration came out of the ears or eyes or some other hole in his body so why isnt like his nearby surroundings decimated. a polite "im sorry" evaporates a man but a scream just makes him deflate?! -as this occurs everyone is just waiting for black bolt to die, like theyre waiting for him to die first before they attack wanda??! like after he dies and wanda spaghettifies other dude everyone else just turns to him instead of trying to help? like worst superhero team ever it seems.

Back when this movie first released, I wasn’t a big X-Men fan. But I loved Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier. So I was pissed when I found out that he went out just like that. Sam Raimi did Professor X so dirty in this film.

Everyone talks about black bolt dying but tbh whole fight vs illuminati or whatever they are called was sh*t and they are such a cool team too its tragic. I would love to see charles mr fantastic and black bolt use their strategy skills and intelect to actually plan a fight instead a guy who trained not to make a sound his whole life loses control over it, the smartest man alive decides that his mele squad will stay back and he should run in first and instead of having charles reach in early and make wanda fight both in her mind and on battlefield he goes last and doesnt do anything. To be fair wanda is overpowered here which is an issue itself since she just wishes them out of existence
