Atlantic Basin looking a bit lonely this evening Rusty, just one colour-coded tropical-potential feature, but as you say, more to come. As for SE Jamaica, the sky is just as lonely. No clouds for company, much less a drop of rain.

RUSTY - What model was most accurate in predicting Helenes path?

Helene was one the models were locked into fairly well right away. The first center track from the NHC was only 15 miles from where it made landfall 5 days later. If memory serves, the GFS was slightly better before it organized, especially with timing. I think the Euro was slower. -Rusty

One forecaster mentioned the orange monster would turn towards Bermuda because of a high keeping it in check

That’s plausible, but most models and the overall steering currents will likely keep it farther south than that to at least threaten the area I mentioned in the video. -Rusty

Excuse me, but why is there so many sings of thunderstorms ? Like ,has enyone notice that in hurricane milton the lightning was infront of it instead of inside it? This weathers channels really don't tell all. " we will wait until they believe all the miss-ingirmation we put out there, and that is when we know we have control..."

The outer feeder bands typically have the most lightning of any place in a hurricane. The fact there was almost constant lightning in the eyewall of Milton is a sign of just how intense that hurricane was. -Rusty
