44:18 personally I *only* got vibes that Milcheck was hurt by what he saw, and that he didn’t know how to express that what they did was offensive. And that Natalie may have actually been lying when she said she was honored to have received the same gift (since the board was on and they’re always listening). I think the whole point of that scene was to show what it could be like working higher up the ladder as a POC in a white-owned corporation.

This episode had way more obvious tells that it wasn't Helly and it's Helena. She grabbed Irving's hand. While I don't think Helly wouldn't do that at all, it felt out of character the second she did it and you could see the surprise on Irving's face when she did it. Then there's that awkward scene between Mark and her which wouldn't make too much sense considering how much they've known each other for. There would've been more immediate chemistry there if the emotions from Helly were real.

As a theologian, this episode is extremely religious. The "recanonicalization" is reminiscent of Jesus being depicted in different races and specific depictions, like the white Jesus, being used to send a message of who can be reflected in Christ. By recreating this in Kier, they set up this deified portrayal of corporate hierarchy. The religious parallel is furthered by Mark's appeal that the Mammalians Nurturable would go looking for a single goat. This references the lost sheep parable in the gospel where one would leave the flock of 99 to find the one sheep that is missing.

Reintegration is a termed used for dissociative identity disorder aka multiple personality disorder in psychology. The goal is not to exorcise the "bad" persona(s) but to *reintegrate* them, fuse them together so the *whole* person survives with full access to their memories and abilities. Hypothetically from what little the show has shown, the goal might be to fuse BOTH innie and outie Mark so he can keep his memories and / or with training allow him to flip from in to our by his conscious control. The reason for flipping being his inner persona acts differently than his outie version but having access to both sets of memories would give him an edge over fake Helly aka Helena and Lumon. The catch is Helena. If she's reintegrated then will she side with Lumon or Mark? Can a few days or weeks of Helly's existence overcome decades of Helena's? 🤔🤔🤔

As a chronically ill disabled dame, I say you absolutely did the right thing seeking medical attention. The only problem is that with things as they are, emergency departments are swamped more often than not. *You* are not being dramatic or weird for wanting to make sure youre safe and healthy. Its just difficult to accomplish when there is a nationwide shortage of healthcare workers. My advice is the document each and every time you have that sort of episode and keep the info handy. That way, if you detect a pattern, you can better determine when its time to hit the ER and/or find a general practitioner. Stay safe, and Im glad to see you're okay. 💚

Never ever feel silly for going to the ER for possibly having a heart attack. You did the right thing. It is impossible to tell the cause of chest pain without going. It is extremely common. You are not at all a hypochondriac for going. Always go, if there’s any doubt.

Also, if you’re having heart palpitations they can be really hard to figure out and you might have to wear a monitor to figure it out. And you could get an echocardiogram. You might have leaky heart valves. That’s what I have and it took a while to figure out. I had had a couple trips to the ER before finding out what was causing it.

To your question at 25:13 ... for those of us that have an inner dialogue and can "talk to ourselves" (since apparently all people do NOT share this inner dialogue ability) ... I wonder if once your innie and outie are merged, if they still have a sort of "compartmentalized" mentality that persists even through the integration, and you could then not only have an inner dialogue with your outie self (like normal) but now also with your innie. So essentially you'd go from 2 inner dialogue participants to now 3. (This easily diverges into MPD and perhaps schizophrenia if you keep pushing it.) But then Mark's innie and outie could cooperate. The more challenging thing I think, and seemingly reiterated with the camera/cut work as he "integrates", is the flipping perception of the outie observing events inside Lumon, and the innie observing events out in the world. Your entire life would become a lot like those visual illusions that you keep resolving into a candlestick and then two faces. But it would be happening everywhere, all the time. That would be weird as hell. It's no wonder Petey was losing his mind entirely.

Don’t you think Helly has been too weird this episode? I think thats Helena trying too hard to act like Helly. Irv already noticed and the thing with Mark, where Helly would have kiss him, was awkward too. There’s other signs like the silence after she enters into the elevator while for Mark, Irv and Dylan we hear the sound that the innies are now awake. So good this episode!! I didn’t expect Mark to reintegrate so soon 😮 The next episodes are gonna be so much fun 🤩 This was also the first time that the credits were white with black letters. Until now it was always black with white letters. Maybe because Mark is now seeing the light and will discover Lumon’s dark secrets? 😜

Personally I don't, they both found out he has a wife after last time, she wouldn't just kiss him in this moment either way. They are both conflicted as hell right now and I still don't know what the benefit of helping him look for Ms Casey would be when the goal is to get him working again. The silence in the elevator I don't think is a clue. Like she could still be but there's nothing she's doing hard confirms anything to me.

Honestly for me, I am fine either if she's Helena or Helly, but I really hope they reveal it soon because Helly is my favorite character and I want to enjoy her story without doubting her every move. Or if she's Helena, I want to be worried for Helly, if that makes sense? I am also 50/50 on the debate. I didn't doubt it was Helly until I saw the theories but for me the fact that Helly never walks with her hands in front of her, but Helena does, is the biggest clue that the person down there might be Helena. Either way, I hope we clarify it soon so that I can know whose story I'm investing my time in.

My tin foil hat theory is that Gretchen my be a police officer in Kier that’s might have been bought off by Lumon to make ends meet. It’s so evil. 15:20 I feel like a lot of the goat department employees are homeless outside of Lumon, and they are actively experimented on in exchange for sustenance. Ms. Casey said to one of them that he „excels at stargazing“ and that indicates that his outie might not have a roof over his head. That also explains why some of the goat department employees are a bit shabbily dressed and unkempt. 23:26 I feel like Harmony wasn’t sure what Helena meant by „reset“, but some kind of realisation sank in after seeing Helena‘s driver. I think Helena‘s phone call to set up a board meeting is just a ruse to get Harmony inside. She doesn’t want Harmony in charge, but she can’t let her roam free either because she has leverage, and needs to be kept prisoner. I would even go as far to say that maybe Harmony is also chipped, she wouldn’t be so terrified of being „reset“ otherwise. 25:39 I theorise that it might feel like a literal info dump lol. And note that the difference in the ways innie and outie Marks speak became so obvious the second when innie mark began to surface. If what we’ve seen with Petey is any indication, the two personages will fight for dominance. However I get this feeling that all 4 innies will be martyred one way or another. I can’t picture a happy ending for the innies sadly.

I had to go to the hospital right after starting it cause one of the side effects made me worry I had a serious condition. I'm surprised you didn't mention the breathing tube that Cobel looked at in the passenger seat of her car. I feel like that's a very important detail, as it clearly triggered her change of mind to go back to Lumon. We last saw it on the Kier shrine in her house back in episode 8 of last season. It's notable that she placed it by itself on the passenger seat, a place usually reserved for people, rather than with the rest of her luggage. Maybe _Cold Harbor_ has something to do with bringing people back to life? The breathing tube's nametag (from episode 8) showed Charlotte Cobel. If that was her mother, then maybe Cobel's fanatical investment in completing the file is because she hopes it may lead to her mother being reanimated? And maybe Lumon is trying to do the same with Kier himself.

I think the Milkshake photo situation is supposed to be very confusing because of how complex it is. The entire show is an allegory for slavery, with innies being an unpaid workforce. While the show takes place in an alternate reality to ours, I still imagine slavery was a thing, and that scene was between the only 2 black characters in the show...feels intentional. also, in episode 1 I think, Milkshake says he regrets what he did to the innies, and as an un-severed man he will live with that for the rest of his life. Those kinds of words give slavery race vibes to me. The scene is very conflicting, as I feel Milkshake is happy and proud to be promoted but also feels guilt and knows deep down this is wrong

That’s a great interpretation. It’s like he and Natalie had a whole nonverbal conversation through their facial expressions, knowing how crazy that whole thing was. Even though there are other black characters on the show, I still feel it’s relevant.

@@nadiamotyleva Nah our urgent care's are only 8am-8pm here and btw I still didn't even see a doctor or get a room in that time haha but to be fair, it turned out alright, if it had been serious they probably would have rushed me somewhere. I stopped having any symptoms by the time I got there.

I have a theory about Ms. Cobel randomly leaving after she looked at the guy standing next to Helena's car: What if that was her "dead" husband she spoke about in the beginning from season 1? Lumon can clearly do something with supposed dead people via some process (be it cloning, re-animation, etc.) The moment she looked at him she looked completely disturbed and immediately turned around and left after being ready to go inside and discuss coming back with the Board. Maybe she is so invested in the Mark x Gemma progress because she wants it for herself. Maybe she is aware that her husband is one of these shells that are being re-built by the MDR work and she has just never seen him since he died. Would not surprise me in the slightest if Lumon uses part time innies on the outside since we know the capability is there (Gabby at the birthing cabin).

I was thinking the same, panic attacks, bad heartburn, or perhaps heart palpitations or AFib. Never hurts to check that stuff out…if you have decent insurance to help pay for the tests.
