Thank you for that tip re: trimming. My daughter has been traumatized so many times when stylists cut off 5-7" of her hair at a time when all she wanted was a trim. I bought some stylist scissors and told her we'd cut an inch every cpl of months months until we got rid of damaged hair from some fake colorist who lightened her hair almost to ash blonde vs the caramel hi-lights she wanted.

Sorry that happened. I’m glad I could help.

Thank you so much. The official launch is Jan. 2. I’m in Georgia but I no longer do hair full time. Just doing hair to showcase my products. I did a pop up shop back in Sept-Oct but I’m back into retirement now.

Why not part hair down the middle so it's even on both sides

Do specific shampoos give that shine? Or is it natural to the hair? My hair doesn’t shine that bright, maybe due to the old dmg and dye I did
@SimplyTamika10 ай бұрын
I do believe products aid with shine. Generally natural hair has a sheen but not shine.

Her hair doesn't need high I've seen thicker hair done on medium

Hair only grows at most half an inch per month. So cutting an inch every month or two is not acquiring length. It’s best to cut off all the damage at once, nurture those ends and then cut 1/4 inch every three months and only of necessary. When you chop off all the damage at once, your hair will look and feel better and thicker. Also, using rosemary and peppermint oil diluted in a carrier oil like jojoba or evening primrose oil works wonders in helping hair grow and thicken. Use only on scalp though. Evening primrose oil is awesome for the ends too.
@SimplyTamika10 ай бұрын
Yes. That works great too. I was speaking in a sense of gradually getting rid of damage not obtaining length in that comment about gradual trims. As a professional with over 15 years of experience in working with damaged hair and successfully growing countless heads of hair into beautiful, healthy and long lengths, I’m just calling it as I have seen it over the years. Even though I know that cutting it all off will give one a fresh start, it’s not always best to do that. This is how over the years I was able to build trust and report with my base and coax them into trimming instead of shocking them. People became loyal customers because of my stance and I continue to stand firm on honoring people’s emotions first over my wants. With my methods and advice my clients were still able to achieve their goals. Remember, there is almost always more than one way to handle these situations. Mine may go against the normal but still gets results. Thanks for your advice. I’m sure someone will benefit.

How long did you revair each section? Do you keep time?
@SimplyTamika10 ай бұрын
I believe it was about 60 seconds per section for this customer, give or take a few seconds.
