Interesting video. Some thoughts: If I am meant to pity Severus Snape, the video failed extravagantly. He made his bed, let him lie in it. His bitterness and vengeful nature are hardly forgivable. Though his spying for the Order of the Phoenix was admirable, his motivations were despicable. I truly believe that had he been able to have his way, he would gladly have sacrificed James Potter in order to get right with Lily after James' death. If he had truly loved her, he would have wished her well, giving both James & Lily his blessing. In the end, he was mean spirited, bitter, and self-pitying. And his behavior was no improvement whatever over Petunia's toward Harry. For such inexcusable child abuse, such a teacher as Severus Snape would find his career startlingly short.

What you have to understand is that snape is greedy but not selfish sure hé was only thinking in Lily back then but you have to remember that Lily was the only one who gave a sense to his life and for him not caring about James and Harry is mixture of resentement ,lack of sympathie and inunderstanding of the bonds the Relay others but when dumbeldor try to get his Guild out of him hé immediatly tell to hide them all and being ready of doing anything for it , this clearly prouves that hé cared more about Lily's happiness then his own even if this means he will lose everything and gain nothing and also living with the tought that Lily will never forgive him
