Here's a small tip for mobile player using her to catch Cristalfly's. After catching 1 Cristalfly and the rest escape. Log in your teapot and logout using the teapot as well. You'll return to the same spot and the crystalfly's are there again. me as a mobile player have been using this method a lot to save time.

Cause right now on my ps4 it’s just more effective to either position yourself or wait for the crystalflies to position themselves in such a way that even as they try to escape you can still scoop most of them up if not all

I play Sayu in what my daughter and I named the „Cutie Squad“. That would be Klee, Qiqi, Diona and Sayu. Far away from optimal but great fun for the two of us. She has got Klee and Diona and I play Qiqi and Sayu. The advantage beeing we both have a healing/protecting unit and damage. So for the dailies I can go and do the fighting and she does the talking quests. For spheres and Bosses we use other teams but open open world exploring is huge fun with this team. Thanks for your guides! We use your tipps a lot.

I think sayu's biggest weakness is the lack of grouping. Every other anemo can group at least a little. But otherwise she has plenty of use to any team comp with the VV and healer combination

In my opinion sayu’s weakness is when she heals a character fully, i must immediately change my character so the other character can be healed too otherwise sayu’s ability is gone whe she heals one person

Note that if you are using Sayu's roll to speed around in the overworld, you actually DO want to cancel out of it right before it ends by switching characters. This will bypass the ending animation so you can continue moving instead of being locked in place with the kick.

Being honest Sayu is the best overworld exploring unit, I know it may not be too attractive to some but I genuenely think she doesn't need to be meta in the Abyss. She is Anemo so adding anothet anemo unit to the team reduces stamina consuption, she goes super fast with her skill while not consuming stamina, she wields a claymore which is useful for farming ore, she can create Cryo Bridges (albeit after getting infused) and she is competent enough to hold herself in battle with overworld Mobs and she helps catch Crystalflies and other critters. On top of that she is a healer which facilitates not needing to go to an statue to heal. I love her for that. The only thing I absolutely hate about her is hiw HYV made it so when she is in her Windwheel state she can't get doen or climb even the smallest ridges. I wish they changed that or at least somehow gave her the option to toggle whether you want to be stopped in ridges or don't mind jumping off

My thoughts exactly. Abyss is the hard content in the game so most characters should be designed around it, but it doesn’t hurt to make characters who specify in exploration every once in a while.

Nice video on Sayu :D I play her in a roll comp, consisting of Sayu/Kaeya/Xianling/Raiden Shogun. The way the rotation works is so perfect. When you are done rolling for 10 seconds, you burst with Raiden and recover everyone's energy. After her burst everyone's stuff is back on again. It's so smooth.

I'm really late to the party, but I've been building Sayu and she's a lot of fun. I started off thinking of making an exploration team. However, it has turned into my main team. My team is Sayu, Fischl, Baizhu, and Kirara. I now farm minerals, food, and level up materials while I'm clearing content. My little "rolling ball of death" is a crucial part of making it a pretty potent aggravate team.

I’m building overload Sayu because I like the overload reaction and Sayu has the speed to chase after knocked-back enemies while still applying damage. I’m using The Bell however as the shield makes it easier for her to stay rolling and I don’t have to change my teamcomp to put in a shielder.

Awesome Sevy! You've covered it all. Been running Sayu since her release, Level 90, C6, 6/11/9, full EM VV build, Bloodtainted R5... Most fun team comp with Sayu which I call "Rolling Death": Raiden, Xingqiu, Qiqi, Sayu - everyone uses their E in that order for uptime, then roll into a pack of enemies!

Shatter Sayu is interesting and could be a thing, but her rolling does not trigger shatter. Strange enough, Diluc's E.skill can trigger both shatter and melt against frozen targets. If only this can happen with Sayu's roll.

Though I’ll normally default to the Katsuragikiri, the Wolf’s Gravestone has been really fun to run on my C1 Sayu in order to have double-buffing alongside VV.

I'm currently using sayu with an aggravate team including raiden, fischl and dendro traveller. Sayu's swirls constantly heal, trigger fischl's a4 passive and raiden's E while being full of EM and VV acompanied by trav's 4set instructor EM bonus. Yeah, everything dies pretty past usually. You have to be careful to not let her get hit hard though, she has interruption resistance but not too high and she can die fast. She has excellent movility too. My outrider team is now raiden, fischl, sayu and heizou too. Pretty damn fun and suprisingly effective to a reasonable degree since damage output wasn't necessarily the main focus. They should have let Sayu heal with every swirl in my opinion (A1 passive). The 2 second window for her E to heal makes sure that you have to stay on field AND rolling for it to activate. I think she's pretty underrated, if I'm careful she provides everything I need in healing and anemo support while batterying herself and her electro companions. Constellations make her way better too, and I just have her at c0. I'm f2p (started playing on november I think) and Sayu was my first anemo unit besides anemo trav., and healer besides barbara and noelle, while I was wishing for raiden. I also happen to be a lazy b*stard who seems incapable of growing up, so she has a special place in my heart. PS: I have Sucrose and I know technically she has more value, but I haven't raised her yet. I'm also waiting to get Keqing and just got Mistplitter (YES! , I couldn't get engulfing lightning last time) for her in this banner.

I've been using Sayu for quite some time now. Rosaria+Shenhe+Electro Traveler+Sayu. Great comp, great sinergy. I recomend building her to spam her Burst, because of her long duration and the fact that it deals cryo damage when it swirls. Sayu NOT HAVING CC is a better option than Jean when you dont want to throw enemies away from your Killing zone, and aplies VV super fast. Using her for Swirl and VV aplicatoin works perfect and as she does cryo damage in the process, she also uses Shenhe quills, even off fleld. I go for ER/ATT/EM prioritizing EM and ER substats. I recomend 160/180 ER to get her Burst as fast as possible, so you can use it in conjunction with Rosaria's and Shenhe's. I tried Jean in this role, and her Elemental skill pushing enemies away from the death circle, is too annoying. Another thing to note, ii you wish to replace Rosaria or Traveler for Chongyun, you can have her ult going almoust continually with good ER, because of the Cooldown reduction from Chongyun's Skill. It will be 17 secs CD with 12 sec duration. Once you start getting the burst back from CD they align perfectly for a quick swap team. Full cryo Rosaria+Chongyun+Shenhe+Sayu is incredibly strong, and again, Jean pushing enemies away from all the area damage is not good, and Sayu fits this team like a glove. One last thing, you forgot to mention her talent Someone More Capable that gives healing to off field characters everytime she swirls. 300 HP + 1.2 HP per EM point. It adds up with her C4 and her C6, solving ER issues and giving EM points more value. If you wish to try another nice comp is Rosaia+Shenhe+Mona+Sayu. Spaming her burst keeps enemies loked down because it swirls the Frozen Status, doing a double swirl, and a lot of damage. Super confy permafreeze. Take note that Sayu's burst swirls 7 times per cast... the exact amount of Quills from Shenhe's Skill... Trust me, it's incredibly safe team. I havent tried her on Tazer tho. I thnk her Burst spam gameplay would be particularly strong in such teams.

Rolling with Sayu is a fun and effective way to trigger Fischl's ascension 4 passive that deals damage when doing reactions, because an electro-infused swirl from sayu counts. So i've had a lot of success using those two alongside a raiden where sayu fills in raiden's cooldown on her burst

Sayu is exactly like Jean, Zhongli and Kokomi to me. She is a much needed Flexible VV Healer that I can slot in on many teams like my freeze and yoimiya teams. People keep saying that Sayu does less damage compared to sucrose but all the meta teams that are "recommend" has no healer or comfort character that isn't a 5 star character? Sayu is a great unit that can nicely provide much needed comfort and survivability. She is 100% underrated. As much as I would want to use sucrose to do more "meta" damage, I'm faced with rifthounds and Pyro abyss lecters who constantly keep all my teams HP in red. I'll take the extra 10 seconds to clear floor 12 on first or second try than have to restart 20 times so that I can perfect dodge all these corrosion and pyro lecter attacks. Some issues I faced is just how overly reliant Sayu is on her C1. Her off field swirling is essential the way I use her and she can't do that if she needs to heal constantly. Prior to C4/C6, her EM build is also kind of difficult to manage since you need to balance high EM, ER% and Attack%.

I used Sayu over jean in a pseudo sunfire setup and I liked her more than jean cause her circle is so much bigger and easy to play around and her skill adds to the team's maneuverability. Probably less damage mathematically but she just felt better than jean when paired with bennet xingqiu and raiden in 2.6 12-1 first half.

Hi there got to give you mad props for even making this since no one else seems to want to touch this subject with a 10-ft pole. She is my favorite character I have it level 90 and I've only taken her talents up to 666. Full send em. I have cleared every single abyss since I got her with 36 stars. Where you should be using her is any battle where you have to break elemental Shields. She is in my opinion the best character in the game to break Shields of any type. And if you want to get really dank.... You can run her with Raiden, xiangling, Barbra..... The trick is to watch when Barbara infuses herself with water to start her role at that exact moment which will infuse you with hydro. Now you have a sukokomon ball. Every time you hit anybody you apply hydro and swirl the element off of them while simultaneously lighting their ass on fire and hitting them with raidens e. Just use raiden when your done for recharge. Perfect for any raiden that's not built very well... But excellent if she is..... In fact you can actually full send em on Raiden like this but I wouldn't recommend it even though the 17K overloads are humorous. The whole Barbra thing is flexible with other hydro units that you can time applying hydro to yourself with. I just like to use her because why not use two of of what people generally consider the worst characters in the game on the same team..... Even if you are pairing them with possibly two of the best

With Fischl being swapped for Raiden depending on how I want Yoimiya's damage to act. I love your videos by the way. They are some of the best out there for Genshin!

Something which I never see anyone mention about Sayu (which is why I just realised this myself) is that her C6 adds to her burst multiplier, so you need EM to increase the multiplier, but also ATK because that's what the multiplier scales off of.

I use lil ninja as transportation and healer, but only if I REALLY don't feel like using Barbara and Xingqiu. Having Sayu as a back up has helped me out a bit and while I still don't have Jean, at least she is a decent replacement. Not to mention, smol lazy ninja is too adorable to ignore and thanks to Lilypichu, I can't unhear Sayu getting angry and cursing lol. She's my toptier choice. Sayu=best girl I have her build as a DPS (C6,3Crowns) and use her in a team with Raiden, Layla and Dehya. There are better teams for more dmg potential, but I enjoy using this one. Raidens E is perfect from off field, Laylas shield is pretty strong and once it expires Sayu still gets the decreased interruption from Dehya. So she can keep rollin forever.

I recently started building Sayu. She is easily an s tier unit for exploration. If you can already get 36 stars on abyss then Sayu absolutely should be your next unit to build. Speed, healing and one of the best passive in the game. Do yourself a favor and build her. You'll enjoy the game much more after you do.

Pale Flame all the way. ATK sands, Phys Dmg Bonus Goblet. 3-star Skyrider Greatsword is a great choice until you get better 4-5 star weps. Team up with a Cryo character so you can apply Super Conduct on enemies. Also check out Moga's recent Razor god mode video

I really like Sayu a lot because she's my very first Anemo Character (excluding Anemo Aether) and especially her healing since she can heal the whole team upon casting her burst then all the healing goes to the active character. She kept my Characters alive when I was exploring the Tsurumi Island, because of the corrosion. I always have her in my Teyvat exploration team, btw she's friendship 10 and C3. I wish I could get her to C6 but I can't waste my guaranteed 5⭐pulls on the current banner because I want her Anemo Brother Kazuha.🤩🌬🍃

I have a good build. Mainly focusing on EM. Team comp Sayu, Kuki , xingqui, Diana.. weapon rainslasher. It’s a lot of synergy here, the weapon gives EM buff which both boost her healing and skill damage exponentially. Use kuki skill and you have a constant ball of electro swirl high damage, plus healing for party with major healing for sayu, during skill cool down you’ll have a 20% attack buff because of electro or hydro application . You can also freeze and super conduct with this team. Diana shield protects while kuki ring deals aoe and heals while in rolling.

I've been enjoying Sayu in a double-anemo comp with Heizou since the Desert Pavillion artifact set came out. Sayu takes the VV and Heizou takes Desert, and the 2x anemo bonus gives DPS carrier Heizou a second +10% attack speed buff, while Sayu heals primarily. The second two team slots are whatever elemental infusers you want Heizou to carry (I'm liking Yelan & Thoma rn but plenty of options).

For my Sayu build, I did 2 pc Gladiator 2 pc Wanderer, with atk, em, and er, with the Makhaira Aquamarine at r3; at c6, this made my Sayu a rlly good anemo sub dps without sacrificing any healing! Between her and jean, i feel her burst dmg is easier to proc because you dont have to knock enemies in or out of the field

There might be a crazy sunfire team with her, Dori, and Nahida, which could also feature Furina and become taser that might be crazy strong even meta. I need to see how much impact her C6 has on it however, It seems to increase her personal damage by about 100% (at 1000 EM, basically 200% Atk is roughly 100% dmg increase), which isn't major since with Full EM her abilities are muted anyway. In bloom or hyperbloom you may want to use Clam set, or even gilded, for the latter EM isn't needed unless you use Dori however, then she becomes the bloom proccer.

For an update if you acquired the Mailed Flower and have no use on it for other characters it would work well with Sayu.

I would like to share the setup of my hybrid Sayu using the Royal Greatsword. This is more on Anemo dmg and healing, so Swirl dmg and EM beefing is less favored. For an ATK-built Sayu, Royal GS also helps Sayu's Anemo dmg. Since her Roll naturally does multiple hits, Sayu can easily utilize the weapon's passive, and is much better if R2 or higher. Goblet+circlet used is Anemo+c.dmg. A 2pc VV set is optional. The healer part of this setup relies on her Burst. So ER sands is a must (180+% total ER if no battery). When healing is the priority, simply replace the goblet+circlet with Atk+Atk/Heal. Also great if in a team with Hydro resonance (Xingq and non-healers). It's both challenging and fun to find a Sayu build that you'll be comfortable with. Have fun finding "your Sayu" ^^,

4:23 rip Sayu ice bridge. Ayaka's event banner was not having it. Killed what could have been one of the most popular characters in the game. She's still my favorite, though. Tied with Yanfei and Mualani.

Catching myself a Sayu was my primary goal with Ayaka's banner - and I'm diligently farming to bring my freshly pulled Sayu up to lvl70 as I farm for another 10x Ayaka banner pull via dailies & events. Sayu is SO MUCH FUN to play, squishy as she currently is, and she's made me freshly excited about playing in Genshin's open-world, now that the only quests left for me are locked behind commisions. Rolling around as I experiment with Team Comps & build up my non-Rosaria characters has made the game fun again, stuck as I am with underleveled characters and f2p resources. I hope the pulls I've saved up will score me a Sayu constellation (or a Razor) because she is SUCH a delight to play, "meta" or no. My Bubble Barbara then DPS Ningguang reached lvl10 friendship JUST as I pulled a Sayu so I couldn't have gotten her at a better time. The comment section has given me great ideas to try & the guide has made me actually understand Sayu's burst mechanic! I've thus far used it by kicking it about because I CAN even though its AoE range is large enough to compensate for poor placement - bumping the daruma around the field is just another fun thing about having Sayu. I wonder how long I could bump it around while in Sayu's pinwheel mode..? TIME TO PLAY PINBALL!

Personally, C1 Sayu is more valuable than Jean, even in the abyss. Jean's burst has a little problem with a prolonged application of VV's shred, since it doesn't deal damage unless my active character is continuously infused with an element. With Sayu at C1, her burst will deal damage regardless, and thus apply VV's shred the entire duration. This is very important in an electro-charged team.

as a low ar (me at ar37) she super helpfull on farming and exploration but yeah i kinda saw she has a slow amount of healing and de buff but still a super fun character shes always on my team

I use her on a blizzard team; Venti, Diona, Sayu, Shenhe. just focusing on aplying Cryo on everything with the Shenhe buff to cryo

Fun thing is, I was farming artifacts for my Jean and just gave Sayu whatever was left. She even got a 50:100 crit ratio at the end. I doubt, it would be the best for her and I should probably go for an ATK circlet, but I didn't want to farm the domain any longer (since I already have Jean) and I felt her healing was already high enough anyway since I used an ATK goblet. Which is always a bit of a problem with healers. They can easily heal too much that it doesn't really matter anymore. But at least she has a 4pc VV set, so if I ever want to use her, I can just switch her in for Jean and still get a bit of damage out.

Sayu is a very fun character to play. Best open world farming character too because her hold Skill doesn’t consume stamina. Add Kazuha (for Anemo resonance and kazu’s sprinting passive). And during night, if you have Rosaria, add her in the team to move faster. Your farming will be done quicker.

Sayu!! My anemo healer in abyss til I got Jean at AR58. My abyss team comp is Raiden, Xingqiu, Fischl and Sayu herself.

I’ve been using Dehya with Sayu and I’ve basically just been using her for her rolling skill to attack them with pyro and anemo at once.
