See the problem is Raiden is a busted electro dps by herself so people need Sara to crank Raiden even higher. We currently have no anemo dps as good as Raiden is, so I dont think Faruzan would be equally high in demand.

Her C6 turns her into one, but still nowhere near as good as she would be if she were Electro Faruzan. As long as you have Sara's C2, she's an excellent Generic Support. She's also a decent Sub-DPS Nuker at C0 and an excellent one at C4. Faruzan, however, is an Anemo-Only Support. And it seems like she doesn't do that job well, at all, without her C6 based on what @SevyPlays said in this video. Sara is viable at C0, requiring only C2 to unlock her True Potential and everything else is just bonus gravy. Faruzan, it seems, isn't viable at C0, requiring her C6 to even meet basic viability. This is disappointing as I was looking forward to Faruzan. But it seems like Hoyoverse has made her the Highest Investment Character in the game, requiring her C6 to make her usable. I'm still going to pull for her so maybe once I get her, my opinion will change, but @SevyPlays is usually pretty accurate with her character assessments. And if this is the case, Hoyoverse REALLY dropped the ball with Faruzan. And if this really IS the case, I hope Genshin's Chinese Community rides Hoyoverse hard until they fix her.

Also, Scaramouche might be that Raiden-Tier Anemo Hypercarry. It's too early to know right now. People will pull for Scaramouche. A lot. So demand for Faruzan is irrelevant as the majority will get her anyway by virtue of pulling for Scaramouche. And those that go out of their way to Constellate Scaramouche will, guaranteed, C6 Faruzan.

She fits in national teams, electro-charged teams, Eula teams and more. However, Xiao and Wanderer don't offer support utility. Xiao can't battery himself and needs an entire team to support him (healer, battery, maybe shielder).

I'm convinced that if Venti and Bennett were released in 3.0 instead of 1.0, Venti's burst cost would be 90 instead of 60 and Bennett's attack buff only happens at c6 and he'd have massive energy issues.

I was following her kit in leaks and she was better pre-nerfed. You read that right faruzan was nerfed just a few days before beta was over. Before that she still had a high burst cost but she at least regenerated 3-4 energy from pressing e. Not after charged shot with only 2 energy 😩 they also nerfed her dmg buff and anemo res from 40% to 30%

C1 should be deleted. It's so useless, especially with C6. Why would you ever do charge shot again once you have C6? Faruzan C1 is as bad as Diona C4 or Xiao C4, meme level bad. Faruzan C2 should have been C1. C4 and C6 should be moved down to C2 and C4 respectively. C6 should be something new like making her burst AoE bigger and/or moving along side active character, like Gorou's burst.

I played as her in the test and honestly she just felt so clunky. Like, I like the idea of adding specific elemental supports like her, sara, and gorou, but out of them gorou is the only one who feels nice to play, feels effective with his buffs, and doesnt absolutely NEED his c6 to get any use (although his c6 is really good) the other two just have buffs that are too short and are too clunky to reapply to really make them worth using, and they dont even feel all that fun to play as.

Her buff lasts 12 seconds in a massive aoe... what are you talking about? With high ER she can even burst every rotation no problem. She's a great support for Anemo main dps characters. Her C4 and C6 just mean you can drop some ER in exchange for more offensive stats. She doesn't require those constellations at all. They only enhance her already amazing buffing utility.

@@Eddy_Stylez I was mainly referencing the fact that faruzan's debuff on enemies is only 4 seconds unless reapplied. Not the anemo dmg buff she gives the party. My b cuz i didn't make that clear. BUT that doesn't change the fact that her burst application is still clunky at best at least from my experience. Each pulse isn't exactly a massive aoe and if going up against a group of mobs that are more spread out, unless you have some form of good cc to keep them in place for the whole duration, its inevitably gonna miss some reapplications due to its weird pathing. And if you get interrupted out of the area and the mobs follow you, then the rest of the uptime of her burst is basically useless. Can I see good use of it against larger bosses like the regisvine, geovishap, etc? yes. Against large amounts of mobs or mobs that teleport/move around quickly? not as much. Her buff debuff combo CAN be really good, but the nature of the burst feels like it works better for the cc anemo units (venti, kazuha, sucrose) compared to the dps ones (scara, heizou) that it was meant for.

Ah, Farming here just means you have to farm for the Currency not repeating the stage to get Character Fragments. 2 of them are 5 Stars. We got about 2 Fire Support equivalent of a 4* starting tomorrow, 3 Ice Support that's 2 4* and 1 5*, 3 Lightning Support same amount as Ice and Physical Support of 3 4*, the 5* is Gacha but she is rather damn good

That's actually the majority of burst supports in the game. Forcing players to aim shot adds some variety to gameplay. That said, it is clunky, and they should make the charge shot basically instant, like Yelan's.

Wishing on a banner just to aim for the 4* is a very very bad idea, you also risk yourself for unwanted 5*, everytime i did a cheeky 10 or 20 pulls to snipe the 4*, accidental 5* always happened..

I think with her C1 it's manageable with her arrows. As you mentioned yourself, the effect stays for a pretty long time and doesn't disappear after switching to a different character. Means that she could E-Charged, apply debuff, catch particles. Go to others, use abilities, back to her, second charged, catch the particles.

I think the reason why they allow the release of 5-stars who're already at their best at C3 is because of the release of 4-stars that require C6. Starting from Raiden X Kujo. I think hoyo thinks that players think that if players would really want to maximize their 5-start characters without going beyond C3, they'd want to maximize the 4-star support, and for most people, they'd spend a lot more coz it actually costs more to C6 a 4-star than a 5-star character. It's just a perspective I've come up with, but who know's maybe it's a good reason for this kind of trend.

I hate to be so negative because I do want to like her for finally being an anemo buffer. I feel like she’s very similar to Kujou Sara when I think she should be more like Gorou (I’m probably wrong bc idk those characters that well). for Sara, at least there’s multiple ways to boost electro dmg and electro is all about energy anyways. Gorou and mono geo have strong resonance and such high def on the whole team leads to generally better survivability. The negatives for Faruzan are somewhat bc of anemo as a whole. Faruzan practically needs her own battery much less being able to battery anyone like Xiao. CC and swirls are so valuable it’s hard to justify using an anemo dps and anemo dmg buffer instead. Sorry this got so long, but basically I love the anemo boys, and the way Hoyo did Faruzan is slightly disappointing to me. Also is it just me or does Wanderer have shockingly low HP LOL

@@xeacarons They're not exactly the same, but very similar. Both EM and Anemo Damage increase an Anemo User's Damage Output. Anemo Reactions can't Crit and their Damage Output 100% scales off their EM. So while Impact Damage will be lower with Sucrose, than with Faruzan, Elemental Reaction Damage will be significantly higher, making up for the lower Impact Damage. Also, OP mentioned using the VV Artifact Set on Sucrose. That set both increases Anemo Damage and shreds Anemo Resistance. It's basically Faruzan Light. Sucrose plus VV is Budget Faruzan which, given Faruzan's apparent ridiculously high investment cost, might make Sucrose the better character overall.

Great overview once again. I got her at C1 and luckily have Elegy, so I'm using that on her with just 2 pc Emblem. I don't care about her personal dmg so omitted a 4 pc set in favour of stacking ER and I now have about 270. Her energy issues are gone with that. She's made my Xiao go from plunging around 80-87k with TTDS Sucrose, to 90-110k plunges at ult talent level 6, with her at level 80 atm. Very pleased.

@@Mushriimpp Yeah as Sevy pointed out in testing, 4* bows with lower base atk and high ER will still do great. If you find you can't make the ER you need with a 4 pc set, maybe focus on 2pc Emblem and high ER substats on any other pieces you have left. That's what I did anyway. I already have Zhong and Bennett in my team using 4pc Milileth and 4pc Noblesse, so no point giving Faruzan the same.

I actually got really lucky, pulled Scara in 3 multis and won the 50/50 and got a Keqing with him so I got a guaranteed; but because of that I can’t go back into the damn banner for cons for Faruzan cause I don’t want a c1 Itto or Wanderer. I am literally suffering for success

Meh. Unless you desperately need her, don't worry about it. Pull her on her re-run. Save that pity. Besides, after this patch, she'll be put into the Standard Pool. By the time her re-run comes around, you'll, probably have pulled her, at least, two more times.

I believe that her best set would be the emblem. Her burst does a decent amount of damage. As you are already going for a max ER on her, why not add full emblem set than. But at least with her. At the end of the day, the game is pretty easy and doesn't require 100% damage and 100% constellations. She is OK before C6, without it, it is just more complicated to get the debuffs. But generally speaking, even what she already provides plus other team members, is enough to go over the top. Max her ER, she won't have much of personal damage, and pray that one day you get her constellations from random drops

The only good news here is that she does at least seem really good at C6. Which is not something you can say about many other newer four stars, who have been at best very mid.

One thing I never hear anyone talk about is the fact that Kazuha can draw her polyhedron in with his skill. I couldn't possibly be the only one that has noticed, and who knows if this was by design. One of the very reasons I have a lot of fun pairing them and using her as his sub-DPS

Skill should've generated 1-2 energy on both cast and charge shot. That way, we could've chosen if we want to shoot the arrow based on energy needs and she would have more battery potential overall.

When i started my pulling session (60 pulls), I first thought I would've c6'd my c4 gorou before I get her to at least c1, but no I got her to c6(+1 extra) before I got my gorou to c6!

At least Faruzan is essentially the same character at c0 versus c1. I'm still bitter about only being able to get a c0 Candace. You can't even build her like she's intended to be. Faruzan is clunky, but she adds a nice buff to Heizo.

As this game progresses, you slowly get the pattern of how these newer 4 stars ain't up to par to even half of the first 4 stars that dominates the game, almost to the degree that they're unusable when you get them firsthand. At this point, there's no point in collecting these new 4 stars except for the sake of collecting them; you'd have to either get them first (which is already a feat) and get them to C6 to be viable (which isn't advisable as 5 stars, either support or DPS supplies you more than they would ever do).

was really looking forward for faruzan. i wasnt going to use her as an anemo buffer but rather for creating swirl reactions. but seeing her burst not doing any damage/ creating swirl reactions really has put me off. i hate characters that force you to play a certain way/ have a certain team

At C0, Faruzan is competitive with Jean for debuffing anemo resistance....And I HAVE C4 Jean. OF course...if you don't have a healer, Jean becames the better choice no matter what. EDIT: ON further investigation, By fully watching this video, I conclude what I feared: C0 Faruzan is....impractical. So I guess it wasn't just me having a hard time using her burst.

instead of getting seperate charges for her bow they should make it so she fires 2 charge arrows at once in a narrowish spread. i think this will help with getting energy faster. id also love to see her buff apply to every attack and not just every few or reduce the energy cost to 60-70

Between ~120 wishes spent in Wanderer's banner, I only got C1 Faruzan. Mihoyo gave me 5 Yanfei, 4 Gorou, and a lot of 4* Weapons, which I didn't need. The Wanderer was easier to get than her, I don't know why they make the 4* so hard to get in this game.

The fact that Sara, Gorou, and Faruzan are all bow users makes me realize that Gorou dodged a bullet by not having a clunky charge shot mechanic in order to get his buffs.

this Idea might come of as just something that Hoyo would never do but--- If I were to change her kit, I'd make her burst act like a tracking drone (in some way), the polyhedron follows nearby opponents and doesn't stay in a triangular path some what like how skills track enemies (diona E for exmples). Regarding her energy issues not rly sure if this is a good Idea but, her C1 being able to use 2 of her Charged shot arrows, I'd make the second charge accumulate energy as well.

I got her at c1. I thought that her c1 plus sac bow would allow her to do up to 4 pressurized collapse and thus get a whole bunch of particles. Alas, it has a 5-6 second cd on particle generation. 😢

I run and main an Itto team. So when I saw that gorou was being added to the 3.3 banner I was saving up wishes to get c6 gorou. And instead I ended up getting c6 Faruzan. Not even that, I got faruzan 3 times in one ten pull. With that being said I still have no c6 gorou and ended up building and using faruzan out of frustration and pettiness. P.s. I’ve grown to like her and plan on creating an anemo dmg dealing team once Xiao comes on banner

There are tons of four stars who’s potential is locked behind Cs even from the start game like Noelle and Beidou. So I don’t want people to misinterpret that she’s bad and was nerfed like no one else, she’s not the only one it’s just a fact you’ll have to face if you plan to use her

Sure, there are older characters whose true potential are locked behind cons, but at least they are only locked at c1 or c2 while w/ the newer characters they are REALLY viable after C6...which sucks a lot because trying to get cons of 4* chara you want can be harder than trying to get a 5* chara (I feel this both from personal experience and my obeservation from youtube/fellow coop players)

She's viable at c0. c2 is useless because at c0 her ult still debuff enemy for 3-4 seconds and that more than enough for Wanderer or Xiao rotation. c4 help her reduce er she need. But's you can fix it with artifact (exile set still exist), weapon or other member. c6 just more damage.

Scholar might be better than exile as a 4 star set. If you have multiple bow/catalyst users, with at least C1, and wait for the 2nd shot, that would give an extra 6 energy. Same as Exile, but it's faster and she would get it too. It also makes it worth while when swapping into her if she catches the last active characters generated particles.

I managed to get C6 Gorou and Faruzan this banner, Noelle and Wanderer gonna love this. Meanwhile my Sara still stuck at C5... I'm out of pulls and already have Ayato and Raiden anyways so she will continue being pointless for a good while more... I hate chars being locked behind C6 so much.

I agree too. basically she is another Candace with all her power locked behind constellations. i was very interested but after release i got utterly disappointed . they made good 4 stars and then kept nerfing nerfing and nerfing them ,,,i am honestly very disgusted by the trend to make 4 stars f2p unfriendly ...

Her c6 also consolidates her annemo res shred onto her burst meaning you don't have to charge shot anymore to get it 😍😍😍

Eh? Her burst has always shredded Anemo RES even without C6. It's just that you now have an additional means to conveniently apply it outside the range, which is what was pointed out.

I got so enough Gorous to c6 him twice, a single Yanfei, many weapons, Mona's c3, Wanderer, and Diluc's c1 and STILL do not have c0 Faruzan. It is incredibly painful.

well I bought my one pack for the year/purchasebonusreset and managed c5 Faruzan, a wanderer and a diluc, guess i'll just keep pulling over the course of the banner and hope i don't get another 5 star while doing so... at least I have decent equipment otherwise just gotta play around with bows to see which i like best...probably gonna be that event one. still she's kind fun to play on field as long as you've got a good shielder.

a big thing that I dislike about niche supports is they will be stuck with their dedicated five star. I have c0 Raiden and c2 Sara, but since I personally do not want to pull on Raidens banner any more, it’s gonna take me 10 years to get c6 Sara off the standard at this rate.
