Beautiful pup and excellent tutorial. I downloaded the pattern and made a sample. I'm going to make a few for my son's girlfriend's dog, Kovu. He was a day away from being euthanized when she rescued him 9 years ago. She likes to dress him up.

The pattern I used has multiple sizes, so you can choose the right size for your pet.

Is the interfacing necessary? Will it be floppy if I don't use it?

It really depends on the fabric you're using for the bow and the size bow you cut out. Larger bows will flop easier, and bows from floppier fabric obviously won't hold their shape as well.

Interfacing and the two pieces of elastic are what sets this pattern apart from the rest.

You don’t need a pattern. It’s basic measurements. How big is your dog I’ll give you them
