Hi everyone, we/re back this week with another community sew for you to get involved with! We are excited to be attending The Gathering in April and thought this was the perfect opportunity to make a new dress for the event. We'd love you to get involved too, even if you don't have an event to go to, we're sure you're all itching for spring to arrive so this is the perfect opportunity to sew yourself a new dress with us!

So many stunning choices 😆🤩 The Pléiades dress is new to me, so I have just been on the site and lusting after that 😜😜. I can 'see' you in that dress, and love the button through option. BUT, I love the Nina Lee pattern, and I adore the uniqueness of the Holly. Rachel, my sister made the Maison Fauve Mia for a wedding last year and it was stunning. It is the sort of thing you could wear with flip flops at the beach, or it can take you to 'fancy land'. I love your other choices too 😆😆 . Swooning over the sexy Kertuu, and BHL's Tamzin has been on my list forever too💃. Tamlyn, I would love to see you in any of those patterns. I was nodding my head for each one 😜😜I am no help at all. I think you might have more styling options (love your converse and boots) for the Pippa and it might take you more places. Honestly though, you'd rock a canvas sac tied with a piece of string.😁😁 Can't wait to see the final choices. Love to you all. Gabrielle xx

Lovely vlog, really enjoyed it and here are my choices: Ruan, your fabric is beautiful but as it’s quite a busy one I would go with the lovely Park Lane dress to show off the fabric. Tamlyn, gorgeous fabric which would look stunning in the first pattern you showed - the diagonal line of buttons would show off your figure beautifully. Rachel, also fab fabric and I think the Maison Fauve dress with the cut out back would look great and has your name all over it! Not that anyone ever listens to me😅😅

Hi! I’ve made the Fibremood Holly dress and I really like it! But it is a very straight style..! My only thing is that I would recommend making the sleeves a bit longer than the pattern! ☺️

Ruan, you just have to play up the spring colours in your fabric, a bobble necklace and button (not actual buttons hehehe!) earrings in the turquoise and yellow would look smashing with your dress for spring! I think you should make #3 and do a small ruffle along the mandarin collar NO tie at the neck. Love Rachel's fabric and I think #3 for yours too! Ohh Tamlyn love your fabric! Whitney from TomKatStitchery made the Roslyn from Vicki Sews for her daughter Ava for prom last year. She has a video on it, very nice dress! I think you should do #3 too, it seems the most versatile and more you specially if you want to dress it up or down with DM's. OOHHH I called them all that you picked for each other! hahahaha!

You all have such lovely choices in front of you and such a great range of styles. I have the Tamzin high on my list right now. I found a beautiful petrol/teal double gauze for it, which is leaning more into that folk style. And funnily enough, I've been considering embroidering the neckline over the last few days. So that might happen if life stops being overly annoying.

I haven't sewed clothing since I was 14 in school but I have the Montana Midi Dress pattern by @stylearc and some linen blend fabric in a soft pink and white polka dot which I've been wanting to start but scared to, maybe I should start as everyone is making dresses at the same time 🙂
