I took a board and painted it and put little finishing nails on it I drew a black line down the middle wrote singer on one side and brother on the other side and hang my bobbins on it and hand it on the wall. Works for me!

And this place has the 1 1/2" size but that might be too small -- www.palaydisplay.com/Pegboard-Hooks-p-1-c-592.html?gclid=CjwKCAjw2rjcBRBuEiwAheKeL8VlunBWRLnmVQvxLKaV5zX_2moC3Nk4cja-bmJouEHHNQ8V6exiLRoCATcQAvD_BwE

I like the rubber band trick. I use a rack with the bobbin under the spool. Another way to color code is to use a drop of nail polish on the bobbin and also someplace on the matching machine.

I had a hard time holding the needle to get it into the machine..I didn't want to buy some gizmo to hold it for me so I decided to try a small piece of stabilizer...I insert machine needle in it and it holds the needle straight so it is easy to insert in machine...

I think organizing is a process that evolves over time as the space we have changes evolves too. Hopefully you found a tip or two that will work in your space. =)

I have a peg board which sits on a shelf (flat) so I found some straws that fit the pegs and cut them taller and fitted them over the original peg. lengthening it. Then sat the spool back on the peg and the bobbin on top of that. Does that make sense?
@SewInspiredbyBonnie
@SewInspiredbyBonnie 6 жыл бұрын
It makes perfect sense! I might try that with the bobbin going on first as I need to see the numbers of the thread when I test sew and make color charts. But that would definitely keep the bobbin thread and thread spool together for future use. Very clever!

I don't use straws but, I do it the opposite way with the bobbin on the bottom.

Hi, love watching your videos! Can you tell me what kind of pegboard hooks you are using for your thread? Thanks!

How are you holding the thread on the peg board?
@SewInspiredbyBonnie
@SewInspiredbyBonnie 6 жыл бұрын
I got pegboard hooks in bulk off of Amazon. They have just one end that hooks into the pegboard (the double ends take up too much room on the pegboard) and a slight upward curved straight edge that holds the spool in place. I believe they're approximately 2" long on the hook.

Nice tip. To avoid interruptions in the future, put your phone in airplane mode when you record.

To colour code your thread to machine put a little mark with some cheap nail polish on machine and corresponding bobbins.
@SewInspiredbyBonnie
@SewInspiredbyBonnie 7 жыл бұрын
Very clever! So you don't use the same threads on multiple machines?
@simplysewing4295
@simplysewing4295 7 жыл бұрын
Handy for if you have specific threads/bobbins for specific machines.

Just put the bobbin on the peg first and then the thread spool on top of the bobbin.
