Your scrap quilts are my favourite. I think it's because scraps are what I mostly have. I love seeing what can be done with little pieces. I learn something each time. Looking forward to seeing what you do with those bits and pieces.

Hi tiff and Scott…I lack sew Jo… haven’t sewn in about 3 years. You are always inspiring* me… think I’m just too damn lazy🥵 But I love what you do, and one day I’ll get to tidying up the disgusting messy sewing area. It’s getting hot now, and that was always my fav time to sew. Having lived many years in the tropics. Thankyou for keeping me sane❤️❤️🇦🇺

Well I hope you find your sew-jo and your lazy turns I to productive soon enough 😉 and also if you can see your machine, ruler, cutting mat and cutter... then it's clean enough to sew 😄 🤣 😂 hope you get to having some fun soon 😉

Hi Tiffany & Scott! I missed your live today so I just watched the replay. A few years ago when I first got started making mini quilts, I used chopped fabric to fill an extra long pin cushion and it was hard as a rock, so now I use it as an ironing ham--it works perfectly!!! Also, I save my fabric 'salad' to make a dog bed to donate to the local shelter. This was one of the things my BFF did before she passed, so I have to keep that going in her memory! So, save your fabric scraps too! ;)

Thank you for the tips on cutting your scraps, I have a huge bin of them that I had no idea how to tackle. Try Old Navy for your jeans search, my daughter likes lower cut as well and struggled to find them and she was able to find a couple pair there.

I have had so many extra scraps that I've sewn then into 4x4 squares. The smaller scraps I have sewn into string blocks. I'm trying to get the scrap pile down before I begin a new project. I just seems never ending. I love watching you and Scott with the tutorials. Keep it up, You are a huge inspiration to the KZbin world!

I used to sew them, too. The pile just gets bigger. Sometimes I sew the big scraps. But now I mostly cut them up. However we do it, it's good to get them cleaned up as best we can.

Hi Not new to watching you, but I never comment. After losing my job I joined a quilting group . They use all the tiny bits of and make dog beds and then donate to a rescue. I have two o they are not

Oops my hand shake sometimes sorry about the previous comment. The beds are not really filled to the brim then they get dirty and into the trash they go.
@TiffanysQuiltingLife
@TiffanysQuiltingLife 7 ай бұрын
Ya it's good when they accept them. Our don't for a few reasons. One is the dogs dig and tear the beds and then choke on the fabric or make a big huge mess. But I know others that make them so that's where my scraps go.

I lost my quilting ability, I’m sure it’s my health, life in general. But…I’m going through my quilting things, looking at what fabrics I have hoping it’ll inspire me. I want to restart me. Been looking at patterns to see what might spark my interest. We’ll see what what happens.

Sounds warm to me, lol. It's 28⁰ here now. I use a timer too when I've lost my sewjo or a task I'm not thrilled about doing. It helps if I have a specific plan of what to accomplish in the time I've set. Even if it's not completed in the time allotted, it's ok, I pick up with where I left off next time.

I’m so weird. I can’t see unless my house is clean. Lol. If my house is a hog pen I can’t focus on sewing. I have anxiety if I feel my priorities are not right. Lol. My boyfriend is trying to break me of it. He says as longs as it makes me happy who cares if my dishes aren’t done. Lol. I love him. I😂

It's not good to use fabric scraps for birds. There are so many reviews against it. I've never seen it in person or photos of bird nests with fabric either.

I know you answered this before for another persons asking, but what do you use to wrap your fabrics on to look beautiful on your selves and know what you have? What size chunks do you put on those? Is it poster board? Looking for something cheap lol
@TiffanysQuiltingLife
@TiffanysQuiltingLife 7 ай бұрын
I use Magazine Boards. I only put 5 or less yards on them, or it starts to bend funny, so I keep 5 or more on the regular bolts. Here is a video all about what I do 😉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2bUiKGwarh0e7Msi=nlGsNrUvVM2CEkST
