I've just managed to get a week off work and uni for the first time in years and my diy pile has been LOOKING at me - i'm pulling out all of my lace trims and my sewing machine is on my desk READY, so your video arrived on my recommended at the perfect time!!! Your level of finesse with hand-sewing is incredible, I always get anxious hand-sewing because of how wonky things turn out for me, and now that i have a sewing machine i feel duty-bound to use it; but as you said hand-sewing is so so therapeutic and gentle in a way that hammering through a hem on a machine sometimes isn't... Thank you for this video and well done for making all of this amazingly cute stuff - you're so so talented and i hope one day you are able to invest in a sewing machine to make the draining parts a little easier on yourself!!!!

the same way i ruffled one of the tops- sew large stitches and then pull your needle and thread through to ruffle as you sew, to your desired length.
