Sew Your Own Unique Japanese Knot Bag With this Step-by-Step Tutorial-Golden Dragon Print

I absolutely adore the aesthetic of the Japanese Knot Bag, so I decided to create one myself using a gorgeous Chinese Brocade silky satin material , adorned with golden dragon prints.
It was such a pleasure to work with this beautiful fabric.

Cut 2 exterior pieces
Cut 2 interior pieces
Cut 2 interfacings
Step 1 :
Apply interfacing to WRONG side of two bag sections
Step 2 :
With RIGHT sides together, match upper edge of bag front to bag front facing,
Stitch along straps and upper edges in 3/8 (1 cm) seam, leavening strap open.
Clip curves
Step 3 :
Turn bag facing to inside， press。
Step 4 :
Pin bag front (facing side)over RIGHT side of bag back facing,
with right sides together,pin bag back over bag front .
Stitch in 3/8”(1cm)seam along straps and upper edges.
Squaring stitching at strap end,
Being careful not to catch in bag front
Clip curves
Step 5 :
Turn bag back facing to inside and press
Step 6 :
Open out bag at side edges.
Stitch bag front to bag back at side edge ,
Stitch side seam of bag facing.
Stitch lower edge of bag in 3/8”(1cm) seam.
Stitch lower edger of bag in 3/8”(1cm) seam, leaving an opening to turn.
Step 7 :
Bring corners of bag edges together,stitch in 3/8”(1cm)seam, stitch corners of bag facing
Step 8 :
Turn bag RIGTH side out through opening in facing.
Press
Slip-stitch seam allowances of bag facing together.
