Wonderful!!! It's a great project to learn how to work with Soft & Stable and add binding. No zipper needed!

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I made a cover for my previous machine and now need one for my new one. Love the large pocket on the side for my removable wide table attachment.

This is a very helpful video. Thank you so much for making it. Unfortunately the section for sewing the snaps (at 39 minutes and 40 seconds in ) is blank. Are you able to include it retrospectively?

@@sewbatikfabric Did you ever figure out a way to get this back? I was hoping to see this so I could better understand this step.

I have this pattern because I did not receive a dust cover with my Baby Lock Solaris 2. I don’t need all those pockets as I was given a rolling cart with my purchase. Would the cover be sturdy enough to stand on the machine without the pockets? Thank you for this tutorial. I think I will use velcro instead of the snaps on the top.

First, i love your fabtic choices. Just stunning! Second, i love how you overviewed the basic steps before getting into the full construction. I was looking for a machine cover im making as a mystery project with yhe same focus fabric using a sewing machine panel and whatever we want to coordinate with ourvmain fabric. Our focus fabric has beautiful sewing machines (one per block thats maybe 10 inches square.) I love this bmachine cover!!! Annie's has such wonderful bag❤ patterns and I totally loved how you went through this and added your tips. ❤❤❤

Thank you for your comments. I have to make another machine cover and make it shorter. I rarely remove my side table from the machine. When I made the first cover I measured from the table to the top of the machine - without the side extender table. Lesson learned.

@@sewbatikfabric thank you for that tip/lesson learned. I'm retaking my measurements that way now, too!

It is best to print a copy of the labels to cut out and use. Save the original label page/pages for future projects remembering that paper labels can be damaged or lost.

Absolutely! And if you’re not near a printer or copier, take a picture of the label page on your phone or camera. The picture can always be printed later.

I really want to try this pattern. Is it necessary to sew the pockets on, or the mesh side? I have a Bernina 8 series I’m assuming the pattern is able to make it a little bigger as the pattern runs small in the large size by a few inches.
@sewbatikfabric4 ай бұрын
Hi there.. You do not need to attach the side pocket or the mesh pocket on one of the two ends. Your cover will then simply be a nice cover. The pattern includes measurements for small, med., and large standard sewing machine sizes. It includes a self-measuring guide to create your own custom cover.

I’ve been told to keep my machines away from magnets. Are these magnets safe for all machines? Great tutorial!

Thank you so much! As for magnets and sewing machines…. I haven’t heard this, but I will research it.

Could you do this with Prequilted fabric and without zippers
@sewbatikfabric Жыл бұрын
I've given thought to the question regarding prequilted fabric... The reason the cover stands nicely on the sewing machine is because of the Soft and Stable used as the batting. Soft and Stable is a foam which gives nice structure. I like the stiffer look, however, if you construct a cover from prequilted fabric simply leave the hard cover on your machine and slide this cover over it. It will add decoration. If you don't want the zipper - no worries. Create the pocket without the zipper - or use Velcro instead of a zipper.
