Susanne, Thanks so much for showing how you drafted this shirt. It was a great idea to combine the two types of fabric. Never be concerned about showing something that is easy. I am a visual learner & I always learn something from you.....everytime! For example, I wouldn't have known what angle to draw the yoke for this pattern. Also, you can't go wrong having a "go to" pattern that is good for both woven & knits. Thanks so much. God Bless & have a great weekend.

Good pointers and I love how the top turned out in the sewing video. Thanks to you and your great videos I’ve been trying my hand at making my own patterns and remodeling factory made patterns to fit me better or changing the features. Trial and error but it’s been fun and I plan to do more. Thank you for posting great content!

Lovely! Did you just draw the seam allowance on the yoke and front or add more paper for the seam allowance to each piece?

Hi Susanne! Do you think that the book you recommend to use for the pattern drafting would be suitable for a really nervous beginner(ish)? I have never had the courage to draft my own patterns. You make everything look so easy! As always, TFS 👍❤😘

Hi Hazel, when I started looking into tweaking and hacking patterns I mainly used youtube as my resource as I couldn't get my head around the content in my books. Once I had a little more understanding from the likes of Diane Deziel I found I could understand the content a little bit better. At that stage I would say I was a really nervous beginner but I just threw myself into it, made a lot of mistakes (and still do) but for me thats the best way to learn. So I would say go for it Hazel, it won't be easy and many mistakes will be made but whats the worst that can happen eh 😟😫😟

No grandchildren today Susanne. I can watch and digest without playing with dolls house, stamping or whatever Macey decides, age 3. Blake age 2 is well named, by me 🙄 wreck the house 😯😮😉. He's like a bull at the gate at the minute, so when he's here, I miss out. This week almost forgot to finish watching the tee shirt make. Horror of horrors. I would have gone into a decline. Watched from the beginning again to make up for it. These wee ones don't realise my Friday mornings waiting for you are paramount for my well being 😌🙂😊🥰 I've got to get healthy to sew, so its imperative I don't miss my Friday morning fix to pick up more tips 😁😘 it would be like not having soda, potato bread and pancakes for an Ulster Fry, disaster.. 🤯😱 no vegetable roll, despite my being vegetarian 🤭
