what a creative way to make that, you can put what ever color underneath, very nice so flattering

Fabulous dress, thank you for sharing. I would advise anyone watching who want to recreate this type of heavy dress that hanging it on a hanger as its so heavy will create a heavy pull on the two shoulder seams and the waist seams especially, which will over time weaken it, and may break. Please store this type of heavy gown folded up to extend its life. Thanks again, from the UK x

1, BEST THUMBNAIL EVER!...I've made netting, I've made jeweled and beaded, I've made sparingly sequined netting but never heavily beaded tulle...So, hats off to you! I enjoyed finding out what choices you used... The one big difference is that I might have used the trimmed off length to "face" the hem, leaving on the beads to add extra bling and weight at the hem... This dress is why we sew.

I am so impressed. You're so brave and patient to deal with this fabric, and the result is stunning ❤

Oh, yes please! I love it! Make another of velvet and wear the beaded over the velvet. Bonus black velvet dress by itself and the beaded over lots of different dresses! Love it!

Oh wow!! Beautiful dress and so much care went into it. You should be very proud! And I’m jealous you’re going to see Jinx and Ben del la Crème! I hope I spelled their name correctly. Great dress to wear out and seriously if I was 40 years younger I’d wear it with pasties too! Life is short so dress how YOU want! ❤

I have that fabric, I love it and at the moment it’s still hanging in my sewing room waiting for the right project that I fall in love with. You’ve definitely inspired me to get on with it, fantastic result!

Beaded fabric looks difficult to sew but it’s so beautiful…tulle though…I have a love hate relationship with. I really commend you for creating such a beautiful garment! I’m inspired to try fabric like this myself (though my next project will have sequins). Oh! I went to Rome for the first time a couple weekends ago and your Rome video was incredibly helpful ❤❤ it was so much fun!

That could be the perfect dress for Christmas if you had red or green under it. I think the round neck works really well for being able to change up what you wear under it. If it's a v neck it might restrict what can go under it.

I appreciate that you removed the beads instead of smashing them. I understand why people do it but it always feels so wasteful to me. I'd use the leftover beads to decorate a removable collar.

Wowza! The sparkles are gorgeous. And you're so right about the gown's versatility. Do you have a full-length black slip?

I live in the mid south (Memphis) and the leaves are sticking to the trees here too. Strange.
