I love your channel. In the 50's and 60's my Mum made all of our clothes. When my sons arrived in the 80's children's clothes were expensive so I made most of them. I loved going to factories and getting a bag of off cut waste. I made sweatshirts, pyjamas and jackets from these off cuts, so cheap. Since covid lockdown and going on the pension I now have so much fabric from op-shops that I really have to stop going to them. But if there is another lockdown I'm all sorted =-)

I'm the same. Although I've never had factory waste.. that sounds very interesting. I would have loved getting hold of that! Nowadays it's so easy to find thrifted clothing suitable to cut up for sewing into something else. I don't go looking anymore on a regular basis because I have more than enough already. I'm trying not to just have excess supplies, because even if it's for free... it's still excess to what I need.
