Thank you very much for this. This is exactly what I was looking for as I want to add a Peter pan collar to the dress I am making which has bias binding on the neckline. I will practice this first though but your video explains the process very well. Brilliant video, thank you

This is so much easier to understand than the instructions on the Simplicity pattern I'm using. Thank you.

That was beautiful. I've never seen it done this way before. I know you've done a demo on a collar and a stand (Nehru) in separate videos, but I'd love to see it all in one video for easy reference. Thank you for all your lovely videos. I use and recommend them frequently.

This was very helpful! You teach methods I haven’t learn elsewhere. Your videos are the highlight of my day. I have two questions: what’s the width of the bias used in this video? And do you press between every seam or only at certain points? I’m impressed by your techniques and speed and would like to learn how to be faster when sewing too. Thank you

Hi Jessica, The bias I use for the neck is 3 cm or ( 1 1/4 inch). In my video, I usually say when to press, even if I don't. But for this bias neck finishing, I did not press at all, the tip is to use a light cotton, that is very easy to crease with your finger. For me, the small and narrow pieces like that are too hard to control and manipulate with the iron, it's stretch, so deform and it's time consuming.

If do not having a pipping foot, how can I wew it?
@beth12svist7 жыл бұрын
thu Nguyen I sew piping with a zipper foot. This special foot looks like it would be more precise, but it can be done with a zipper foot. :-) (You treat the cord side of the piping like the "teeth" side of a zipper - except it's better to stitch closer to it than you would with a zipper.)
@DianeDezieltoolfully7 жыл бұрын
You could use the 1/2 foot also call zipper foot
