Your shirt turned out very nice, congratulations! I also have learned to slow down and have patience with the process when sewing clothing for myself. In addition, I have learned to first do a test muslin in a similar fabric of what I will use for the final project for every new pattern. I use thrifted cotton sheets for my muslins. A muslin allows me to learn how to make the project and work out the bugs and fit issues before I cut my nice fabric. For a pants pattern I now use, I made 4 muslins and made adjustments to the pattern so all I have to do now is cut out fabric and sew. Yes, it was a lot of work up front, but having nice fitting pants sewn from wonderful fabric is worth it. I also don't sew when I am tired or frustrated or rushed. I found it is much better to put the project down and walk away than to keep knocking my head against a wall. Sewing is more than cutting and stitching. It is a magical blend of art and science. It is taxing, frustrating, and gloriously fun when it works well. Two thoughts on your lovely shirt pattern, perhaps take in your sleeves a little to taper them down to the cuff to take out some of the fullness, and at some point use this pattern to cut out a longer version to make a button down shirt dress. You could wear it with a belt or insert ties in the side and tie them in the back. And add side pockets. Have fun and keep sewing!🎉❤🎉

Thank you! These are very wise words indeed. ❤First; I should definitely start doing muslins, I just need to find the time and patience for it. And second; I should absolutely to that for the sleeves of this shirt! I'm thinking about doing a video in the future where I fix and redo garments, I could add it to that one. And third; I love the idea of a shirt dress! Am definitely doing that in the future! Thank you so much for your kind words, great input and awesome ideas! ❤
