Sewing a Tote on a Post Bed Sewing Machine (double needle, split bar)

I am using my Titan TN-1765 double-needle split bar post bed sewing machine to sew a distressed leather tote and a drop-in lining. The entire bag was made on this machine.
Sorry for not recording my top stitching. I forgot to start the camera again!

Ohhh..Hermes like bags spring to mind, just invest in some more quality leather and you could make some to sell! Enjoy your new hobby, I feel inspired to get started on my first bag.

I don’t have this machine but have flat bed machines with split bar function. You’re right, the labeling on the bars isn’t very intuitive, I tell myself, it’s the needle that I want to “disable”. If I’m only using one needle I also remove the bobbin and cut the top thread just past the thread take up spring. I keep some scrap material next to my machine to test function and see my tensions, before sewing my project. It’s better than ripping stitches, because you see the problem on your product. Thanks

Same here, they cost a lot for a good one. I love the look of French seams, very professional. this lady underestimates her abilities. It’s a fine looking bag, especially for a first attempt. I’d like to see more videos too.
