Thank you so much! 🥰 And definitely do it! Although, maybe make a smaller neck hole than mine! 🤣 Be sure to let me know when you finish. I’d love to see how it comes out! Best of luck!

@@kristenleighshaw thank you! I will most definitely let you know when I finish it. I'm excited to try it! What measurement would you suggest for the neck? 3 1/2 inches?

@@melinalack6224 hmm good question. I would say to start small and then you can always make it bigger of you need to (3.5 inch radius is probably a good place to start). Adding the binding will make the hole bigger as well. If you can do a mock up with scrap fabric you can see for sure before cutting into your good fabric. Have fun! 😁

Oh gosh, I love this so fervently. I’ve had this same project pinned for (mumble mumble) years. Could you direct me to a tutorial on hemstitching? When I search it, I just get instructions on, yep, sewing hems. I wonder if lingerie straps might help the sliding around issue?

Hi Lisa! Of course! I used this tutorial from fabrics-store.com: blog.fabrics-store.com/2018/12/11/hemstitched-napkins-tutorial/ Hmmm, some sort of straps are definitely worth trying! Thanks for the suggestion!

@@kristenleighshaw thank you so much! I’ve been hunting for the hemstitching attachment to my vintage sewing machine forever, but I think that I’m going to have more success with hand sewing.

Oh hmm. Good question. I’m not great at pattern grading so I’m maybe not the best person to ask. But the pattern is a very simple shape so it should be possible to make adjustments as needed based on your measurements. I’ve also seen some designs that are more rounded on the “sleeves” which might also be a nice shape. Something like this: fabricartdiy.com/diy-one-piece-summer-wrap-top-free-sewing-patterns/ OR even: www.diydaisy.com/blog/tutorial-rori-wrap-top which is more of a traditional wrap top but does have an option for wearing it backwards for a similar neckline to my top. Plus those sleeves are everything! Not sure if that helps but hopefully some combination of these references will help you make the right decision for your project!

You’re such a skilled sewer! Super cozy video. If I could humbly offer one piece of advice it would be to try not to use Rachel M’s entire video formula for yours. The intro with a hot drink, same dry jokes, text overlays, same shot set-ups, the moody reveal, wrap up and the blooper reel. If people wanna watch Rachel they’ll just watch Rachel, know what I mean? I’m sure you have a unique video style that’s waiting to come out! Sorry if I’m being rude here though, feel free to ignore ❤️
