I love everything you do. I love that you sew a garment from start to finish. I think that’s what I like the most about your channel. And I love that you put it on and wear and model it. And Your My Bucolic Life song by your daughter and parents is absolutely adorable

What a pretty blouse! I actually liked the elastic on the sleeves. The fabric was prefect for this pattern. The buttons are cute too. I've got a number of vintage machines too. And a vintage button holer that I've yet to use on my Singer 301A. I know what you mean about taking these machines out to use them. So important so that they don't cease up. I have mine in rotation, so for each project a different one is used. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. I learn something in every video!!

The blouse turned out beautiful! As light as the fabric is I think the shorter sleeves are great! I watched this very closely because I have a blouse coming up in a similar fabric and wanted ideas for handling it before I got started! As always great video! Thanks!!!

I’m sure it looks wonderful without the elastic! I got my hole punch in Saturday and my heat erasable pens will be here tomorrow! Thank you for sharing!!!

Thank you! Actually, now that I've worn it a while, I'm thinking a little shorter sleeved would be nice because of the fullness. Thank you so much for watching and have fun with the pens and hole punch 😁

I love the blouse but even more I love your machine. I have a 1948 singer and struggle making my buttonholes even, so I shy away from them. I like your way of measuring. Thanks

Thank you! Do you have a buttonholer like mine for your machine? They make such nice buttonholes. I'm glad it was helpful!
@marydiamond33222 жыл бұрын
Thank you for you reply. I have exactly the same one. I need to mark the button holes when I’m ready to make them rather than when I’m doing all the other markings. I’ll start with maybe 2!!

Hello, Marie. Nice blouse and the neckline is lovely. The piping really elevated this pattern. That little narrow foot is awesome! Thank you for sharing this “make”. I moved on from the last debacle and now I’m ready to move on😊

My method for applying interfacing is to apply interfacing to the fabric before cutting the pattern piece. This method helps plenty to avoid the movement of both fabrics. Oh Yeah got my leather punch and erasable pins. Thanks for introducing both of these, new to me, amazing notions 👍❤️

What a good idea to put the piping on the stable facings instead of on the garment! I like your process of deciding the sleeves were too clown like and changing them more to your liking. Loved seeing those specialty feet as well. It turned out very pretty!

Thank you Barbara! I have a large collection of "mystery feet" and I really have no idea if I'm using them for their intended purpose, but I like playing with them 😂

Yes, it's very cute! 😍 You have more patience than I do, that fabric would have driven me crazy, not to mention the chiffon... 🤪 Definitely worth putting in the trim, though, it really lifts the whole look of the blouse. Lovely job!

Firstly, fabulous as always! Such a sweet blouse and has serious 'sexy milkmaid' vibes. Second, that deep blue you were wearing on day one (I think) suits you soooo beautifully. Thirdly, I have some crinkle rayon that I keep avoiding, but I feel encouraged that it can be done! Thank you for sharing!!! x
@mybucoliclife2 жыл бұрын
Don't me afraid of the crinkle rayon 😁 sexy milk maid is a vibe! Thakes my back to the thousands of times I sat on my stool with my head on the side of a beloved cow milking into the steel buckets. I can still hear the sound of the milk hitting the sides of the pail, and the cow chewing her snacks 😊🥰

I have one of those lovely little Singer Featherweight machines. My mom used it for small jobs all the time. I inherited it after she passed away and the second time I used it, it blew up. Would I be able to replace the wiring in it do you think? I repair and clean all the other vintage sewing machines my husband brings me from farm auctions, but so far I have drawn the line at wiring. But I'm willing to learn.
