So beautiful and so well done and presented. Thank you. I’d never heard of gimp and like the look of this better than machine-done. I’m now subscribed.

Oh, I just checked out your videos and see you have 82 in 4 years. I just subscribed in hopes that you will be doing many more videos. I am sooo impressed with your button holes. I love the fact you are not in a rush! I want to learn from you. I haven't ever heard of gimp before but I will be finding some somewhere. I look forward to doing a beautiful buttonhole like yours. I am thinking of adding some embroidery to what I decide to do.

Jemima, what is the thinnest type of fabric suitable for handsewn buttonholes? I have a feeling you will say almost any as long as you use thread that is appropriate and where possible has a backing. However I would think silk and organza would require a high skill level. Thank you.

hi! I have only ever make buttonholes on different weights of wool. I doubt it's even possible on silk or organza.. the buttonholes are very firm and need a fabric with strength. silk and organza frey a lot and are very slippery to work with.

It looks cool but at the same time it looks like such a long winded process I'm not sure if I have the patience
@JemimaCassidy2 жыл бұрын
at the beginning it will take a lot of patience, but once you've practiced and learned - you'll get faster with each buttonhole you make.
