Hi Sam. I'm sorry you've been sick. It sounds like that bug is truly nasty. Glad you're recovering your energy and sewing inspiration! I love all your sewing vlogs, but especially the ones that show your creative process and the ones where you are: (1) tossing around possibilities for what you could do with patterns and fabrics and combinations/modifications; (2) exploring and refining your style and then figuring out how to get there; (3) reflecting or pondering on concepts of where an individual fits in broader society, always with an eye to being true to your authentic self; (4) collaborating with other creative sewists and delving fully into the projects you are taking on; and (5) taking on patterns with weirdly shaped pieces and head-scratching instructions. I'm not sure why the last item appeals so much to me, probably just because it's so fun and interesting. One idea would be to have a series where you take on patterns with a-typical pieces. I'm not sure how you would find those, but if you could, you might start by holding up the piece for everyone to guess what part of a garment it forms and then show how it's sewn in along with what the garment looks like once finished. Of course I'm imagining you giving a review of whether in the end it works or not and other reflections. I'm thinking back to your collab with Christine (Gemini Stitcher) when you both sewed the DP Pattern Le001 sweatshirt as a great example. I had the same bug last week, Sam! The physical symptoms were bad enough but the apathy was worse than anything!. I really like to see how you style your makes. You certainly have flair.

Oof, that sounds like a rough illness. I'm glad you are feeling better now, keep taking it as easy as you need to recover properly! I do love that french terry fruity jumper. Very cute. I do enjoy hearing about sewing bee. But we can't get it in the US without a vpn and I don't have the wherewithal right now to deal with bbc iplayer nonsense. So if you do more sewing bee related videos, it'd be lovely to have a little more descriptive detail about what happened in episodes for those of us who simply can't watch them.

Great vlog as always. I love your pattern reviews as you are so honest about your journey. I love anything you put out. The colour one was eye opening and loved the vlog regarding successes and fails [the one with the rails and you went through and looked at have you’re worn them much]. It inspired me to go through my wardrobe and sort. I am trying to be more considered in my choice of patterns rather than following the crowd and sewing up the latest ones out. Keep on going with your brilliant vlogs now am off to watch the modelling one, as been away on hols and need to catch up. Regards Linda ❤❤
