I'm at1:12;45 on the video, so joining that conversation re cakes -- I made my little daughter a candy hous out of chocolate chip cookie dough and then decorated it with snow frosting n the ground, pine trees and lots of cute thingsincluding tiny candles in wooden tiny people holders on the pitched roof -- after the kids ate that "cake" they wanted to know where her birthday cake was!!!

Really enjoyed the chat while I was working on getting my Lori Holt Scrappy Spools top ready to quilt (ironing 108" wide backing, loading backing and batting on frame). You 2 are fun together, and both of the quilts you're working on are gorgeous! Ian, I was hand stitching a quilt label onto a different quilt when I first started listening. I don't enjoy hand stitching either, and believe me when I say that I feel your pain. 😅 Thanks for the laughs and company. Can't wait to see which fabric kits you picked for each other. Now I gotta go trim a bunch of threads from the back side of the quilt top before I can put it on the frame to complete the sandwich...

The last time I was in Raleigh. We stayed at a hotel near Airport. Texas Roadhouse and the Outlet mall was across the street. Great fun. Awesome clearance sales. I bought a nice hat at Nine West.
