Wonderful! May I know what you mean when you said you changed the plate and feeder? I know that the foot needs to be teflon coated but not sure what you mean when you said the plate and feeder. Is there a special needle plate and feed dog for sewing plastic/vinyl? Can you tell me which needle plate and feed dog is suitable for sewing vinyl, please? Thanks!

I think you can use both and I usually use my regular foot for sewing vinyl but from what i see he switched to a smaller foot in yellow plastic and since it"s in plastic there's less friction between the foot and the fabric and it helps

I believe the silicon spray lubricates the thread so that the friction of the thread going through the eye of the needle is minimized and thus preventing heat buildup on the needle.

Should I buy juki 5550 or juki ddl 8500? Buying for orphan and poor girls tailoring school so they can sew scrunchies bags bedsheets and sell

I had very frustrating experience with sewing in last 3 months. Brought a used vintage PFAF domestic machine with motor for banners making. I couldn't manage to sew with it, threads broke with all adjustment. Whole one day i spent learning and experimenting, KZbin etc. No luck. Than i went to shop , bought $400 a brother domestic machine suggested by store "experienced staffs" . It did the job but thread breaks on every 1 metre. It was Painful job. Then i realize industrial machine is what i need for banners. I bought a 2nd hand. double stich juki industrial machine for $500. Bought oil, heavier threads, thread holder, spend another $200 to star working on it. It was also breaking threads with every thread tension. I used 69 and 92 threds too. No luck. Change needle from 19 to even 21 , nothing was working. The motor was super fast. That threads would get thinner and breaks, i don't know why. 3 days continuous experimenting Then I bought servo moter for $255 from ebay. Changed the motor, reduced the speed, No Luck. .... 3 machines, all failed to sew 450gsm vinyl banner and kedar edge. Then after all these, i decided to order HH 66 vinyl cement. I ordered $119 from local tarp supplies shop. I tried HH 66 over kedar edge around the banner. It does weld, it is strong but..... It doesn't stick instantly, it grabs the material in abou 5 mins wait. But will get lose if you fold the banner if you need the table for another graphic job. Over all it is messy and time consuming for a print and sign business. I have doubts that i need a Walking foot machine which is about $1000 for 2nd hand and about 3k for brand new. What if the walking foot machine doesn't work too? Another few thousand of money waste in the drain ?

I have this machine, and it’s beginning to break the thread when I sew over humps, like putting on facings and sewing over the thickness. HELP it’s so annoying. I live in a small town with no machine shops

What wrong if the thread is loose in the bottom

The upper tension is too loose while the lower tension thread is too tight. So the lower tension thread pull the upper thread to the bottom of your fabric.
