Thank you thank you thank you for making it okay to talk about anxiety & how you manage to get through it! I've been going through it for 4 years & this is super helpful. So glad I found you!

I love the tip on high color saturation and the black soft and stable. So many people think it’s only for black fabric. You are so right that it makes colors like the pink pop more!

Got my pattern in the mail today. Just got home from buying my material and zippers. After the time it took picking out the cutest fabrics that coordinate, I was exhausted. Had so many fabrics in my buggy at JoAnn’s, people thought I could be opening up my own fabric store 😂🤣. Several customers gave me input on my fabric choices...I love fabric people!! We are mostly super friendly. So many extra things to still buy!! So I can’t start yet. You challenged me saying it was complicated...I said, “Let’s do it!!”. My first pattern like this. Can’t wait. Thanks for getting me excited about this bag. I don’t need it, but...I want the challenge. Maybe it will take my mind off COVID!

Love ByAnnie patterns and products, everything she does is really top of the line. I've been spoiled by how well written all her patterns are. Thanks for the fun tour of your new bag! Hopefully you get to rock it out in the world sooner rather than later.

You are the best and yes doing anything a section at a time is so less stressful. I love Annie too and thank you for sharing. The initiative. I have walked 3 different 60 mile three day walks with the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer so this initiatives near and dear to my heart as well. You rock!!

Great Bag! And your fabric added to its looks! I had a By Annie’s Pattern in my hands today, but I was already spending enough on fabric. Also remember Breast Cancer is not just a women’s disease. Men can also be affected!

Great review! I too made one of "ByAnnie"'s bags. The instructions are so clear, it's important to follow each and every step! With that said, after your first "ByAnnie" pattern, your next pattern will go so smooth because you learned so much from the first. Love the patterns!!

I've seen by Annie's and thought it was the name of a company but if it's a real Annie I am a lot more inclined to buy her products. And from what you have shown of her products and patterns I really want to make something like this awesome Messenger Bag. On a personal note, you are a great Dad willing to talk to your daughter about important things and also include her in your fun life. Neato!

Thank you for preparing us about the pattern being something that needs to be tackled over time. Sometimes I feel a bit bad that I can’t turn things over as fast as you. Deep breath! Being practical. You are my hero 💕💕

Thanks Matthew, I am a beginner sewer and loved watching a review like this. I will check Annie out! What you said about the emotions you carry while working on a project becoming an integral part of the process and product is so true. I can pick up a project and straight away recall how I felt, what I was listening too, who I was thinking about etc from that last time I worked on it. It is quite remarkable actually and because of that I also try to be relaxed, at peace with the world while I work. Thank you for sharing that xx

Perfect review and I haven't finished the video!!! So far I love the explanation for taking your time and doing it in stages. Next I liked the positive vibe that you include in your creation. Also the undertone of the stabilizer information. You are a wealth of information Matthew. Keep being positive....

LOL, I take six weeks to make a messenger bag!!! I hear you about anxiety. Very happy to hear your recommendations about the Annie patterns, I’ve been searching for a good, clear, all steps explained, messenger bag pattern for ages. Ticking off the steps Labelling the pattern pieces My OCD ❤ this Annie already!!!! The laptop slip pocket is a master stroke. The only part I’m not loving, is the bias binding. Hoping there is another option in the pattern.

That bag is gorgeous, both in design and in look thanks to the fabric choices you made. I would also say this video is great because you've inspired me to take a look at Annie's website to see what patterns might work for me, so thank you!

Hi Mr. domestic it’s Debbie love your work I haven’t been able to do any arts and crafts because I have a lot of anxiety so I understanding what you mean when you say you have anxiety good day and may God watch over us and the world.😊😊

I have wanted to make one of the more involved ByAnnie bags but just thinking about it stresses me out. But I like your idea of doing each part at a time then taking a break from it. You’re right about these patterns being written and done so well that it can take the stress or apprehension away from the more complex projects.

Hi Mx Domestic, I came across your channel and LOVE your videos!!! I saw your pattern review for the MJ Messenger Bag. I just bought this at Linda Z's. I really wish there was a tutorial for this bag as I'm new to sewing and I'm scared of messing up (which I already did and had to get more material).

I love your bag. I’m in the process of making my own but am having difficulty getting through all the layers. Especially over the tabs. I’m using my walking foot on a brother cs6000i. Any suggestions would be helpful?

I made the Catch-All caddy for a baby shower gift. It was easy and so adorable. I filled it with baby goodies. Annie's patterns are great. Love your channel and videos! I'm a long-time sufferer of anxiety. It's okay. You just work through it and ask for help if you need to. Hugs! (BTW, what are the building blocks hanging on your wall? A new project?)

Hi Mister Domestic, I made this bag a couple of years ago (did Annie's class on Craftsy). I notice that you have the same Brother machine as mine. I had a lot of trouble sewing on the Brother as it skipped stitches and had issues with the thickness. Did you face the same problems? Thank you

I live thr looks of the bag and appreciate the review. Next time please slow down a bit whenshowing the item. It felt like the bag was thrown around do much it was difficult to realize what was actually inside pocket wise. Love your channel and watch faithfully! I've not done the closure zipper either and would have liked to see that more. 😊!

great pattern review! and, should you ever find yourself in a bit of a bind, discussing women's health issues with Helena, please feel free to contact me - I have been an RN for close to 45 years. Since I don't have any granddaughters of my own, I would be thrilled, and exceptionally honored, if you and Helena "adopt" me as a Grammy when in need........ hugs, and much love!
