Another great video Cheryl. The fact that you get straight down to what the video is actually about is VERY refreshing and you don’t fiddle with your hair constantly either! I love the skirt pattern and fabric. I wish I could get the patterns and thread from you too so then it would be a one stop shop! I still have that georgette fabric uncut and I was pondering on the idea of a pussy bow too. Look forward to seeing the finished articles. A Q&A video would be great as I have a lot of questions about fabric and patterns 😂😂🤔
@StitchyBee5 жыл бұрын
thank you Claire that's a great idea about the Q&A 😊 Ha ha and here's me thinking I waffle too much. Thanks for your kind words. Funnily enough I looked into stocking some patterns, but the big brands insist I stock their whole range which won't work for me. I just need to get on and design my own eh? xx

I finally had time to watch your video and I happen to be wearing the exact copy of your Frankie. I ordered your perfect jersey after I saw your review last year and the fabric is everything you said it is. I’ve ordered more since then and will likely continue because I can’t find the same quality and weight here in the states. I love your fabric choices and when I want a treat I order something from you as it will always make up something wonderful. Looking forward to seeing your makes.

The corduroy is s beautiful colour.I love cord and velvet but you have to make sure the nap is the same on each piece you cut out.I like longer length skirts and that's the beauty of sewing,you make what you like. Love the fabric for the tops.Looking forward to seeing everything made up.

I need more plain definitely and the Frankie tee is wonderful. I made it first this year and I’ve made 3 now. Made one with a lovely French Terry as an experiment and I wear it loads so it does work with slightly thicker fabric. It has a lovely neck . Great video Cheryl.

I made the Itch to stitch pussy bow blouse and love it. Its sized for different cup sizes so I trusted them and it fits beautifully. I often find the back and shoulders of blouse patterns too big but not with this one. Its a lovely well drafted pattern . Enjoy.

I have made that skirt two times love it. However both skirts size 12 differed in size, one in a peasblossom was too tight and sewed up ugly, the other in a fab cord like yours. This sewed beautifully and it is prob my best me made skirt. Washes and irons like a dream. Good pattern as I like A lines

With big 4 I go by the finished measurements on the tissue. I then give myself 1-2 inches of ease and pick my size usually by the bust as have to grade down the hips. I’m sure you know this already but it’s not always obvious as on the tissue. 😘
@StitchyBee5 жыл бұрын
tanks Ruth that's great advice. I noticed on the Simplicity pattern, there's no finished measurements for the waist or hip, just bust, and back length. How odd? xx

Love all these future makes Cheryl, can't wait to see the cord skirt😄 can I ask about the Frankie tee, I always have a problem getting the neck to line up with the raglan seam on the front I think? There always seems to be an odd little triangle left at the top which I have to cut off, do you get that too? Or am I doing something wrong?
@StitchyBee5 жыл бұрын
thanks Tina 😊 I think I know what you mean. I'm not sure it happened on this pattern but when that's happened to me before it's been coz I didn't sew enough seam allowance.. I think they should all line up but yes, I've definitely seen it before. I'll have a look for you when I sew my grey one.xx
@tinahoward58765 жыл бұрын
@@StitchyBee thanks Cheryl I appreciate that. I have just been running these tops up on my overlocker as they are quick and easy to make, so only get an overlocked seam.
