Sewing Pleats. Sewing a single pleat is an easy technique for any beginner sewer to learn and achieve success at. Pleats are a method of folding fabric to remove fullness or to create a particular feature on a garment.

Keep the work flat, pin along the fold of the pleat and then topstitch.

No real difference. Pleats however are more defined than a tuck.
