Love your new room. Fantastic and bright. I really like the little bag in the corner (that you dont) love the medium-small size. So useful and easy to carry. I've abandoned large bags. If I need to pack a bunch, I use a backpack.

Looking forward to the hardware and zip pulls. We get really poor choices in the UK. I like the idea of pattern size increase video too. I have the idea of making a vekza but increased size and 2 back panels instead of the pocket . I think it would make a really good work bag for me, bit like a smart briefcase bag. It needs to fit an A4 notebook. I'm thinking of braving the attempt by myself!

Oh yes give it a go! You could start with the size of the A4 folder and make sure you’ve made it big enough to include the seam allowances you’ll lose. It would look awesome! 😁

Just got your video as a recommendation and I love your sewing room!🤗🌻 I can't wait to get another home for me and my children after losing ours because of the pandemic/financial since the only thing I can afford right now is to live in an extended stay motel, which I am grateful. That’s a lovely sewing room. I’m having a log cabin installed in my garden which will become my sewing room. I can’t wait! I’ve been using the dining room but it’s a pain having to keep clearing it all away. I’m definitely using your Kallax idea for the cutting table 👍

Love your sewing room! I have the same Bernina machine as yours. Last night I had it turned off, had not unplugged it yet and it started smoking!! Really scared me! I always unplugged when I am done sewing but now I think I will unplug any of my machines even when I am just talking a break. Thought I would share, fire is so scary!

I just got a 930 and have been reading up about it and other vintage machines. It seems the foot pedals can generate a lot of heat when not in use and can cause a fire if not unplugged. Yikes. So I will be unplugging this gem after use.

I am in the USA but my sewing room is as cozy as yours and is my happy place. Making a Teloujay this week. The fact that you sew your bags on your domestic machine is so helpful for those of us that do not have an industrial and without that I doubt I would of given bag making a go. A sew-along sounds fun!

Thanks Deb 😁 I love my domestic machine. I see the appeal of an industrial but I don’t have the space for both and I don’t think I’d want only an industrial so I’ll just stick with my Bernina. In my head everyone in the USA has huge basement sewing rooms 😂 in reality it’s probably only a small minority that actually have that luxury!

Me too. I’m jealous of their basements. my lovely husband now has his office in the dining room along with a pull down wall bed for guests 😂 utilising every inch of space, all so I can have a sewing room. I love it!!

I’m really enjoying it but mostly because it means I can move it and use my laptop when I need to 😆 so the whole space feels much more usable. But I haven’t found sewing on the tabletop any different yet 😁

I was wondering if you could design a bag similar to your Vekeza with card slots in the front and the overall size similar to the one you didn’t like. I think it’s adorable with adding some depth and the card slots would make it a hit!!!!

A smaller Vekza would be so cute 🤔 and I love to add card slots to everything! It’s going on the to do list….can’t promise when I’ll get to it as the list for very long after I found my whiteboard markers but it’s on there!

I feel your pain over U.K. small rooms and storage! but you’ve got a lovely sewing space it does what you need. Love the idea of regular sew alongs and the idea of short tutorials on bag making details would dif like to see tips or tricks to putting in nice zippers and the use of zipper tabs to make nice wristlets or pouch’s dif would love to see a lovely wristlet design by yourself.

We’re forced to make the best use of the space we’ve got 😁 I suppose it’s not a bad thing. Though I feel a little jealous when I see people with huuuge basements! A wristlet….I designed one so long ago and never got round to finishing it. I think it’s definitely time I revisited it.

Love the video, your space is quite functional, I also love the Luz Marina Bag that you have started..The fabric is gorgeous could you share? I made one using all vinyl with no interfacing on the main body, too slouchy for me , I guess I prefer more structure, when will we get to view your sewing of the bag, great job your patterns are all very well thought out just like your sewing room :) Barb

Thanks 😁 I’m hoping to finish the Luz Murina video soon but my sewing machine had to go in for a service this week so I’m even further behind than I expected ☺️ the fabric is from Blended Threads in Canada. They have some amazing designs! I’m adding some Decovil Light to mine because I didn’t want it to be too slouchy. Hopefully it doesn’t end up too sturdy 😂

I have a similar cutting table - 2 of the 4 box Kallax ( screw together ) on wheels and it takes a 36" x24" cutting mat. The top is a bit bigger than the Kallax to overhang

I get fabrics from all sort of places. We have a couple of good fabrics shops near to us in Cornwall, UK. My favourite online fabric shop is blended threads in Canada.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. It's called a Logic RH 400. It's extremely expensive. I got it for free under a government scheme for people with health problems at work but I've been told that they cost £1,000 new!

@@CountryCowDesigns I am retired an my granddaughter lives with me. She has this year college an she graduates. I personally love to craft. An be creative. It's calming for me. I also knit, crochet,an build things out of wood. I have my own tools to work with. Hubby has his own as well. It's all good. Except I get real sore back sitting an I do get up an move a little. By the end of day my back is sore. An I do not take pain relievers. Road I will not go down 😊thankyou for replying back. Have a wonderful day. It's supposed to be 88*
