Thank you for showing your space Stephanie. Anyone that follows you would know that you’re not showing off. You worked hard for it and deserve every good thing that comes your way. I’m still at the dining room table and at 78 years old don’t think that will change in this stage of my life. Yes I wish that I had an actual sewing room but if I can spend time sewing every day that makes me happy. Thanks again. Happy to see your set up.

Stephanie, don't know that your followers would think you are showing off. You don't have the braggart personality. Love the tour of your area. That is awesome to see. Love that your daughter has her own sewing space and that she insisted on you hanging up your awards. It shows (like we know) how talented you are and that others see that also. Just reminders of projects you have done. I bet you call recall what ribbon went with what project. Loved this video. My space started as a corner of the den to quilt and create crafts. I was really cramped. Now that the kids are gone I have a large bedroom plus half of a small bedroom. I still don't have enough room. 🙄Have an awesome day.

That was lovely, thank you! I started at the dining table, too. I have a small space, but I’m the only one here, so it works. Still a work in progress, as I had my mother with me for years. But, it is my room, and grateful for it.

You have a very nice studio. I have a basement space as well, but with no walls. It is getting harder to get up and down the stairs as I get older. I will probably have to move my sewing space upstairs. Love your videos.

We live in a split level home and I can understand the stair issue and getting older. Since the kids have moved out I know have a bedroom to myself.

Looks like you have a ton of storage for your own area and your business also. Neat and tidy, lots of designated areas. I have my sewing in 3 different areas. No excuse but laziness for me😂 I really need to SHOVEL out a bedroom and bring all sewing items together. (Been saying this for 12 years) I need to be on that Hoarders show...

Oh man, you and I both need to be on that show. We have a 4 bedroom house and finally got 2 of them cleaned out so I now have a dedicated space to quilt and craft. LOL Had just really gotten moved into when we helped with an estate sale (don't even ask me about how much came home with us, then helped a neighbor move into a smaller home and inherited more.) Have been trying to get everything organized and really got overwhelmed.

I’ve always wondered what your studio looked like. So it’s one being room, correct? I love it. Very workable. You don’t want to see mine! I created a monster encouraging my daughter to see. She usurped my sewing room so I have stuff all over the dining room and garage. Just curious: do you try to keep certain hours j. Your studio, I know with adamant it’d be hard. Congrats! Love it.

@@kevmrth I do keep certain hours. I have to balance time with my children and in the studio. The only bad thing about working from home is that those lines can get blurred, but I try hard to keep things scheduled.

@@StephaniesStitchesgood grief I need to learn to proof read. We owned a business and I had an office at home as well as at the business. The kids knew at times I needed to get a payroll out, etc, and at other times, they’d come sit on my lap and we would read a book. Best of all worlds.

You mention Accuquilt. Do you use them often and for what? I have seen some videos where the presenter has Accuquilt and doesn't know how to use it. One tried, obviously without seeing any demos or instruction, and made a mess of it. I'm sure it turned off many people to trying Accuuilt. I use it for strip cutting, triangles, HST, squares, flying geese, orange peels, and other common shapes. One channel maintains that you waste lots of fabric using Accuquilt, but of course the person covers the entire die with fabric, instead of just what's needed. Maybe you could do a video on how you use Accuquilt effectively.

Wonderful sewing studio. Please, don't say your studio is not "clean". That to me means that your space therefore your merchandise is dirty. Please use the term cluttered, as it is a working business space. I am sure it's clean.
