This video is a step-by-step tutorial how to make the skirt „Harper“.
Harper is a fluffy skirt that you can wear wonderfully throughout the year.
The special thing about this skirt is that the pleats are made of a different color than the skirt panels.
With the help of this tutorial you can make this skirt without problems, because I show every step exactly.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
fabric: denim, canvas, wool, velvet
contrast fabric: cotton, voile, wool
interfacing: Vilene G700 or H220, alternative: Pellon SF 101
You will also need a zipper (18cm or 7“ long) and a closure, such as hook & eye or a snap.

Beautiful. I just want to ask: why is the waistband that shape? Why isn't it a straight rectangle?

Thank you. You can also make a straight rectangle. I like the shaped waistband more, because I think the skirt has a better fall this way.

Hi, just draw a horizontal line from the left & right top corner of the skirt pattern part down to the length you prefer. From both so formed points on the bottom go on the left side about 2cm left and on the right side about 2cm right to get the flare. Then draw a line from this new point up to the top corners on both sides. Measure the length of the new side length and adjust the pleat pattern part to the same length. Don't forget the seam allowances. I hope this explanation is understandable ;-)
