I actually watched your video to see how you did the collar, cause I struggled with it so much. I enjoy your videos so much! Beautiful dress! I have found split personality in myself as well - I used like to sew what is fun and not think too much about when I will wear this item. However, over the years I have forced myself to think things through more and more as I was so unhappy to see my handmades just hanging on the hanger and never see the daylight. It is boring to only sew black pants and gathered waist linen dresses but these are the things I pick when choosing my outfit. I am eager to see all of the other sewing videos too - they have a good impact on my sewing mojo :) Thank you for sharing with us!

I agree! I have to make a conscious effort not to buy all the colours. But like you, I reach more for neutrals in my wardrobe day to day. I’ll allow myself some fun here and there but for the most part I want to keep it practical!

I’m working on my first attempt with a rayon challis. Now about to attach the hem facing, the strips seem too short. Is this normal?

I'm fairly inexperienced at sewing, but I believe I've heard that after washing/drying your fabric, one should iron it. How do you feel about that? (It looked like you hadn't pressed your fabric before cutting.)

It’s the Sumo Puffer jacket from 7115 by Szeki, one of my favourite brands! The Pekka jacket would be a great pattern to use to get the same look ❤️
