Awesome sewing space and fern. Everyone needs a wall of fabric. It's nice that your mom is surrounded by family love & memories as she sews. Since you are set in inherit, you're going to have a baby girl so you can continue to pass it all down.
@SewingatMidnight5 жыл бұрын
Oh Debbie, that is a nice thought, but I will have to find someone to bequeath my stuff to when the time comes. I am childfree for life! More money to buy fabric, right?
@SaturdaySewing5 жыл бұрын
You know what you want and I like and respect that. Good for you. That will give you more time and money to enjoy life. I have to admit though, I like being able to call my daughter and know she'll help me when I can't move stuff or want to do something to my house. So there are a few payoffs for the sacrifice made in childrearing. Happy stitching.
@SewingatMidnight5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Debbie, you wouldn't believe how many people give me a hard time about my decision. I don't often advertise my childfree status on my channel because the backlash can be pretty fierce, so it means a lot to me that you said that.
@SaturdaySewing5 жыл бұрын
I'm in your corner! I had my daughter when I was 18, two weeks after graduating high school. I never had another. I think certain women tend to give others a hard time about those decisions because they wish they were strong enough to live the life they wanted to live at one time. Others are just bitchy...

I have to say that this has been my favorite sewing room tour ever! This is what I think of when I imagine sewing rooms. Thank you so much for sharing. This has inspired me more than you can possibly imagine.

So glad to hear it! I know my most treasured items in my sewing room are the little bits that I have had passed on to me. My gramps used to make a lot of furniture and my cutting table has seen better days but I don't want to get rid of it because he made it and I love it. I am not usually very sentimental, but I get a little soft and squishy when it comes to stuff like that.
