Hi Cynthia! What a cute blouse! You did great! I too have some double gauze languishing in my staff like the other commenters. Your blouse looks very nice on you, very cool and comfy yet you are not too exposed, which I prefer for myself. I think a chambray dress would be lovely.

I try to do all my collar band (and cuffs and plackets) that way, once I found out about it. It's nice that it's actually in instructions somewhere! It gives you so much more control on how the collar looks where it shows. 😁 and there's none of that pesky 'catching the fold of the under collar' when you're topstitching on the outside. I keep moving my Blaire pattern around my room - I need to find a fabric and just do it! YOur's is lovely and looks so nice and breezy in the double gauze.

You did great! I bought a remnant piece of double gauze in an olive green color. It felt really nice so I thought I’d hem it and make a light blanket for tv watching. I couldn’t imagine making a garment with it. I’ll admit, I’m Sew Scared. My skills are not at that level yet. Well done! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Nice Top. I haven’t sewn with double gauze, either, but have a piece in my stash. It seems that it might be a fabric that would be complimented by simple lines as I can see that it would be difficult to do things such as the tiny little corner on your collar stand. I think I might start with pj’s. It does feel so good to the touch. Thanks, Cynthia.

I have to admit I was nervous the first time sewing with double gauze too. I made a simple pattern with not buttons, collars or plackets 😂 your Blair’s blouse looks lovely and I’ll be checking that one out for our Summer. Im planning on making a simple top in double gauze for summer to see if it is cool as my Ava is lovely and warm right now (must make another winter top in double gauze!). Your Cielo (I hope that’s what you said it was) too looks lovely in the Japanese cotton ❣️ Have a great sewing week!

Hi Hayley. I still have the beautiful double gauze fabric we received in the Think Pink Sewscription box. I need a pattern with simple lines for it. And, I am contemplating dyeing it. I saw the double gauze that Ruan dyed and loved the way it turned out. And, yes it is the Cielo top. It's cute and comfortable too.

@@MountainAccentsSewing I can recommend The Dressmakers Closet Ava blouse. Lovely sleeve, simple back and front, bust darts and a neck tie. There are two styles of neck tie and I think two sleeve styles. Lovely autumn/winter blouse. I’m still planning on making another in my box double gauze. I received the blue and love it. Give the dying a go I’m sure it’ll turn out great. 😊
