Your Ilford Jacket turned out so well! I like the matching thread; part of me liked the idea of the contrast, but using the matching thread really makes the beautiful buttons stand out. Given your color palate for this year, your jacket is going to be a great addition to your wardrobe. You top is lovely as well. Hopefully your son's new puppy (which is absolutely adorable) will help your family in healing a bit. I can't believe how many sewing videos I've missed! It is going to take me a while to catch up. We're trying to get settled, but it's a slow process. I'm finally wanting to sew, so I may have to take a break from house organizing to working on the sewing room. It has continued to be fun finding pieces of fabric scattered throughout my boxes. I unearthed a gorgeous blue and white stripe cotton that I asked myself why I hadn't made anything with it yet. It will be perfect for spring. I don't know about you, but I sure am looking forward to spring!!!

Excellent video! The right tool can make for easier sewing and improve results. I have a collection of pins and prefer the glass head ones. I ironed a plastic head pin and it was very hard to get it off my iron. Also I have learned to keep magnetic pin holders away from my iron. It wasn’t a pretty story.

Oh goodness. No, that doesn’t sound pleasant. I need to replace some of my needles. I have used some for so long they are not as sharp as they used to be. 😊

The pants look great on, I never wear things tucked in so the back having a different color would not be an issue especially since they are beautifully made. I hope you enjoy them, adjust them if you need to but wear them because they are a classic. Love the bag, it looks professionally sewn! Have you made a lot of bags, this one is a awesome . Love the puppy with his little velvet ears, so sweet. Enjoy your makes, thanks for the inspiration.💕💕💕

Awww, thank you so much. This is my first complex bag pattern. I have sewn the Noodlehead Peppin Tote once before and made simple tote bags. I believe the reason I did well with this one is because I purchased the kit with the tutorial. The pants are growing on me. Of course, I will have a better idea once the weather warms and I wear them. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. 😊

I decided not to use linen for pants anymore because it seems like the pants grow during the day to be too loose.
@MountainAccentsSewing7 күн бұрын
Hmmm. I haven’t noticed that with my other linen makes, but I am curious how these pants will wear.
@dianewilliams79318 күн бұрын
Hi, Cynthia! I think your linen pants are more of an oops than a fail. Your husband and son are correct - just wear shirts that you can wear untucked. No one will ever know. They look great! I love the colors in your crocheted throw.
@MountainAccentsSewing8 күн бұрын
Thank you, Diane. I believe “oops” is the better word choice. I will definitely wear them. I love the color of them a lot. The crochet blanket is beautiful. I have used every day lately. Were you happy with your fabric from Beyond the Pink Door? I believe the line of cotton spandex is very good quality. I’m not sure if you mentioned the color or pattern.

Those are pretty trousers! The single digit temps here froze my water line for the 2nd year in a row. (It was buried to close to the surface, apparently.) Stay cozy. I love that plush looking afghan. Jubal's cute!

Gorgeous makes, Cynthia! Totally agree with your hubs and son about the waistband - no one will know! Maybe try washing and drying the pants, and they may shrink a little? Such a shame if you have to cut the length! They are such a fab workhorse and staple! Your pouch, bag, and blankie are fantastic, also! 💗
@MountainAccentsSewing11 күн бұрын
Thank you so much. I will try washing and drying them. That probably will help. I love the bag and pouch. I am using the blanket already. I’m dreading this week. We’re supposed to get down to single digits tonight. Currently, our temperature is 31 degrees but feel like is 17 degrees. Brrrr!

I use PDF Plotting for most of my pattern printing. I print a few things at a time because they offer a discount the more you spend. I also have used The Fold Line before as Beyond the Pink Door online fabric shop. I use the fabric store if I am only printing one pattern and purchasing fabric at the same time. I hope this helps.
