What a great time to discover you on utube. The perfect bag for groceries. Soon they will be eliminating plastic grocery bags from the stores. Your directions were so easy to follow and will make perfect Christmas gifts. No wrapping paper this year. Easy, affordable and economical. I’ve made 5 so far. Just finished my second tote. I finished the seams because it was canvas but then I made a binding to encase the seams. Love it.

this is an EXCELLENT TUTORIAL! And you hit it on the head about the more you make bags, the better you get in doing it. SO TRUE! I design and create bags, but i do mine a different way but i love this way also. YOU GAVE GREAT TIPS ON EMBELLISHING. AND YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT "TAMING YOUR LEATHER" woo! Faux leather can be a beast in handling. but i just got a teflon foot for my Singer 4411HD sewing machine. i hope she works out with this.

PAT DAHLING! I JUST FINISHED DESIGNING MY SECOND TOTE BAG KIT (TASTE OF SPAIN) AND SHE TURNED OUT SO PRETTY! I PUT A VINYL POCKET IN THE FRONT, TURNED OUT FABULOUS, BUT I GOT TO GET MORE BASTING TAPE FOR THE WEBBING (I USED HEAT N BOND INSTEAD). I SENT YOU ALL A PICTURE OF IT. what a shame we cannot get sent to Australia, very hard to find the webbing here so trying to find it online, as I am using waxed african prints from Homecraft Textiles

Since vinyl stretches, put the tape on the vinyl so it stabilizes.
