Thank you Sweet Lady for sharing 😊 I just found your channel today and this is the second video I have watched to learn about the press. I just received my bundled deal on my KamSnap press through Oklaroots. Had it a couple of days and decided I wanted a second press and I ordered the green one too so I can leave it set up with the hole press. Have not used either one of them yet, a little intimidating, but after watching you I feel more comfortable. My first project is going to be NCW. I have never made anything but clothes so this will be interesting. I have already watched several videos. Anyway I had to order my decovil light. I ordered it on the 4th and it just arrived today (15). I am going to look for your video on the NCW before I start. Again thanks for sharing! ❤️😊

I use my pink kamsnaps press for rivets primarily - both jeans or double capped rivets. I also use it for jeans buttons. Love having it.

I love my Gold Star press. Got it on sale for $39.00 with a 10mm double cap rivet die and love it . No problems with mine and do not see why people diss them

Great and so very helpful. Thank you! I have the Goldstar (in red, my favorite color, I couldn’t resist that! :) and I am still learning all the ins and outs. I’ve finished a few bags with rivets, straps, etc, and now I just purchased the multi-prong pyramid studs to try. So much fun! Thanks again, and I’ll be subscribing.

Welcome Tara to the channel. i LOVE having my table press, both work great and makes putting bags together a little smoother. Thanks so much for stopping by and watching.

I love using a table press, in fact I've bought two generic presses from Amazon so when adding rivets I can have one with a punch & the other with the rivet dies and when fitting metal snaps one can be set up for male half & the other the female half. Both of my presses take 8mm (M8) upper screw / 19mm base generic dies which seem to be the most popular screw/base die sizes found on the likes of Amazon/eBay/AliE. Other generic presses have a 6mm (M6) upper screw / 12mm base. Kam Snaps seem to have their own size fittings for their presses as they sell adapters to enable their dies to be used in the M6 & M8 sized presses.

What do I buy for purse feet? I apologize, I don't know if they are called grommets or rivets.

There are several places to buy them. Do you follow MoreMeKnow here on KZbin? She has a website to purchase from, also Emmaline Bags, etc. Let me know if that is a starting help. I could list others.

Probably because I make handbags with vinyl snd leather.. both do not work only for rivets.. went bought professionally made punch hole tools from leather company
@SewNaturalDane Жыл бұрын
Still that's interesting. I purchased these years ago because handbag makers that use different thickness of vinyl and some leathers used these all the time. Maybe it depends on the thickness and having leather tools works better. Very interesting. Thanks for the insight.

I know you said a lot of the patterns have guides, but mostly I am interested in using snaps as swaps for buttons and adding eyelets to clothes. Not really for bag making. Are there any specific resources for what is recommended for that?
