At first I wondered why you’d do a wedding dress without an actual wedding to prepare for. And then you said you were going through your stash, so that made sense. And that you wanted to do a specific photo shoot, and that made sense. Then I started thinking what a great thing this really is. You are getting so good at this that you are creating your own looks, and they come up beautifully! Plus this is great practice for the next time you want to use some fabulous fabric for some special event! I love how this turned out.

Sure did! The machine that is in my video was my husband’s great aunt’s. I learned after I got married, but before I had kids lol the sweet spot of having “free time” 😂

I wish I could find some pretty overlay fabrics to make dressy blouses. I used to sew back in the day, but these days the classy fabrics are nearly impossible to find.

It'a very cute and could easily be used as a regular occasuion dress raher than just being a wedding dress. FOr the veil, I've seen some nice pictures of 50's brides in tea-length dresses with floor-length veils (some with the veil long enough to drag being as a train), which might be something to consider for your photo shoot.

When I was getting married back in 1989 I designed my own dress bought above the pattern and altered the pattern to be the same as the dress that I designed

@@SewRena that's good that you did I'm glad I have officially been sewing for about 40 years I'm 48 years old I learn how to sew from elders my three sewing machines are a Sears Kenmore similar to yours but I have a zigzag and a straight stitch on mine then I have a Singer heavy-duty 44.52 which also has a setting to be a serger it can also be used to do free hand embroidery and much more my oldest sewing machine is a singer electric trendle g series that one I'm working on getting the parts to fix it

Do not drive that corver! My father had one. It tried to tip over on every corner. The interior always leaked. We had mosquitoes in the back seat. The seatbelts pinched. The gear shift was far too long. Later, the gear box just fell out. Ralph Nader wasnt kidding when he named it "unsafe at any speed". Make it into a planter! Ignore the advice on the Corvair, Sewrena. I have a 1964 Corvair and it is no better or worse than any other early 60s vehicle. The 1972 congressional report on vehicle safety exonerated the Corvair and proved Ralph Nader was sensationalizing matters to make a name for himself. MOST cars from the 1960s are not very well designed for crash protection or regular driving. Enjoy your car for the nostalgia and keep sewing!
