So I’m making a diaper bag from your Aragon bag pattern and decided I wanted to Odicoat it, not realizing there were so many pattern pieces😂😂. I’ve been cutting and Odicoating for DAYS. I also learned quickly that all of the pattern pieces should be interfaced before Odicoating. Just a suggestion based on my experience. My exterior fabric is Liberty London and is so thin and delicate that my test piece without SF101 just shriveled. Once it was ready to iron, the wrinkles didn’t all come out. I decided to interface ALL pattern pieces and that worked much better.

Thank you 🙏 I also received a bank card type of applicator with their website printed on it. Purchased last week and as it was from an Australian business received it today Thursday 17 December 2020! I also received my snaps kit today again posted from another Aussie business. Covid19 has created a lot of us Aussies the need to search out Aussie companies as delivery to us here far outweighs the cost of the product sadly. Again thank you. 🙏😷🐶🇦🇺

Great video! Very helpful. I think I might try applying it with a 4-6 inch foam paint roller to see if that’s easier. Thanks for giving me confidence to try.

Hi Sarah, can you please tell me whether I would need to apply the OdiCoat before using any type of stabilizer or interfacing? I am getting ready to make my daughter-n-law a diaper bag for her baby shower and I will be applying fusible interfacing as well as fusible fleece so was wondering if this would be a problem after applying the OdiCoat to the fabric. I have an industrial heat press that I use to apply the fusible interfacing and fleece but was wondering if I should just use my iron or do you think I'd be okay using my heat press after using this product? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you very much for your help and advice. Tammy

I have applied this to several completed bags with success, however not much success applying to fabric then trying to sew on top of the fabric even with a teflon presser foot. Maybe you have a suggestion that I haven't thought of. Thanks!

Hello Sara, I want to ask you something: Do you think I can use Odicoat for a cotton bag already made, like airplane bag? I think that it will get in the seams and make it good to go on a trip for easier cleaning, instead of doing it before, what do you think? And do you think one jar is enough for a big bag like the airplane big travel bag? Thank you! Cary Delano

Hi Sara, wondering.. when you apply the interfacing do you need to keep a layer of parchment paper underneath.. between the odicoat and the ironing board surface?
@welshwitch21262 жыл бұрын
I used SF101 before I used the Odicoat. I would suggest using parchment paper or a Teflon sheet throughout construction. This is based on my experience of using Odicoat. Not sure how it worked for others.

Thanks for the video. I am disappointed , i got the odif odicoat as it was the only one in the store, when i spread the gel and the next day i removed the fabric from the flat cardboard i had used to apply it,it was all stuck to the cardboard, fabric ruined. I tried again and this time let it dry hanging on octopus dryer, was ok, but it smells chemical. There is definitely an odor with the odif odicoat, which i thought would be the same as that one.
@susangibson91232 жыл бұрын
I use Odi Coat. I have a couple of tips for you. First of all, make sure you use the scraper included and scrape evenly in the same direction a thin coat. Apply in a well lit room so you can see where you’ve covered. After coating you iron it. To do this set your iron to hot but not crazy hot. Just a usual temperature you’d iron with. Place a piece of parchment paper on the ironing board to protect it. Place your odi coated item on top. Place another piece of parchment on top of your Odi coated fabric and give it a good iron. It’s usually finished when the fabric doesn’t stick to the parchment paper. When it’s cool you can add another layer. Just repeat the ironing process. This way you don’t have to wait for it to dry and it takes the smell away too. I hope this helps .
