Remember this Know Me 2089 jacket? Well . . .

I’m sharing my latest version of the Know Me 2089 jacket pattern! This time I sewed this pattern in denim fabric, switching things up from my first version made in twill. I was planning to buy new buttons but ended up using some wooden buttons I already had on hand.

Hello there, the jacket turned out nice! The multi- color compliment the jacket overall. I like it opened as well, and it goes great with dark colored jeans. Good job! The cookies look delicious, how did they turn out to you? The sweet potatoes turned out good also, one overcooked one wasn't bad. I enjoy your sewing and cooking experiments as well. I love your new jacket! You definitely have a great way of doing buttonholes. Maybe someday you will share with us, how you make them, especially with denim or when the fabric is thick! I want to make a wool coat and I am worried about the button holes. Anyway, your food looks yummy, and I love your videos... Janis

Hi, Janis. Thank you so very much. I learned the hard way that I need to use a heavy duty needle when I’m making buttonholes in thicker denim. I believe I used a 90/14 on this jacket. A wool coat sounds awesome. You can always practice on some scraps before sewing the real buttonholes. Best of luck sewing your coat, and I’m so happy to hear that you love the videos.
