Thank you Jack, because I have struggled with how to feel about people who are lesbian and homosexual. I work in a church and know preachers who are homosexual and . know many lesbians. I have heard preachers say that it is ok and they are born this way and it is not right to keep them from being ordained. Preachers have said they cannot help the way they are and I just keep going back to my Bible and reading that this is not right. This is not biblical and this is not how God wants the world to be. I really like these people but cannot condone their lifestyle. I am ok if they come to church but if they are ordained that is it. I am a Methodist and if they start ordaining gays and lesbians I am out of there. Church is getting to weird for me. Not Biblical. And I seriously loved that you said we Christians are medics in a battle field. We are bringing comfort. Made me seriously think about it. Thank you for giving me food for thought. I appreciate how kind you were.

"This is not biblical and this is not how God wants the world to be." According to _you._ Scripture never says that. "I really like these people but cannot condone their lifestyle." It's not a lifestyle. Lots of Queer people have the same lifestyle that you do. "I am a Methodist and if they start ordaining gays and lesbians I am out of there." Your loss.

“Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” Romans 1.26-27

I have changed my mind about this subject of homosexuality actually. Do not get me wrong, personally I do not think anyone who feels homosexual is a less human being, we all have sin. But giving your body to God is a strict requirement to have the best of God his kingdom, this is also the case for heterosexual people who are not to fornicate. We all get equal treatment in this case. You want God? Than obey, for he is God and can transform your mind. God bless, every unnatural attraction in agreement with this message I bind, cast out and cut off in the name and by the blood of Jesus Christ, amen!

If a man commits a sin like Adultery that you talked about in this teaching, but repents to God and his wife is he forgiving by God and still able to go to Heaven?
@leslieluzirr3004 жыл бұрын
If anyone repents of sin and truly ask Jesus to clean their heart and change to good, he is faithful to take to heaven

I will be waiting for you to teach on the true Sabbath day ...
@kennystrawnmusic4 жыл бұрын
Re: Sabbath - OK Judaizer No, but seriously: the Resurrection was very clearly “after the Sabbath, on the first day” (Matthew 28:1). The actual Sabbath was the day on which Jesus was *in the grave* - if you pay close attention to the Levitical laws about the Sabbath, you notice that it’s a commanded day of rest. Jesus fulfilled that by literally resting in our place. Therefore the Jewish “Shabbat” is for Jews, not for Christians. Resurrection Day is for Christians, and weekly celebration of the resurrection of the Messiah from the dead is what Christian worship constitutes.

There is no where in the Bible where it says to change the Sabbathday ... Please read all about Constantine and the Catholic Church

I will never understand those that complain and/or comment about something over & over when if they aren't happy with what is being taught, continue to listen? Serious question 🤷♀️

George H Actually there is - in Matthew 28:1, and you need to look no further than the references to Christians of the first century by extra-biblical writers (both Christian and otherwise - Irenaeus would be a start, as would Tertullian, both of whom predate the period that you mention, not to mention backhanded affirmations coming from hostile opponents like Pliny the Younger among others) to corroborate that point. There’s also the Didache - the First Century Church’s catechism - which in Chapter 14, Verse 1 mentions very clearly that the day of meeting was “the Lord’s Day” - AKA the day of the week that the resurrection occurred on. Those comments mentioning the Catholic Church are out of what appears to be willful ignorance of the fact that there was no Catholic Church when the Didache was written.

Kenny Strawn sorry my friend something what leads but doesn't really say I can make the Bible say anything .... no where in the Bible does it say to change the Sabbath day to be honest it says to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy worship on whatever day you like

I hear everybody talk about the 10 Commandments but yet they do not listen to the fourth commandment they make their own Sabbath days so how can I believe you on anything else you hold what Commandments you want and discard the rest Start teaching all the 10 Commandments and show how we all have transgressed against God not just homosexuals or adultery
@sherrydonaldson53964 жыл бұрын
George H I understand your argument. But I think the reason this is spoken of so much in our day is bc homosexuality has become so mainstream. Like people raising their kids gender neautral . Hollywood plays a huge roll in this. They promote and encourage homosexuality instead of loving the sinner and hating the sin. But I feel like pastors are focusing on this particular commandment mainly due to the time period in which we live. But you are correct... it’s all of the commandments we should uphold and teach. Not a one of us is free of sin. And I don’t believe one sin is greater than another. So I may not be a homosexual but I’m a sinner... God bless you and yours!
@Grokford Жыл бұрын
@@sherrydonaldson5396 "But I think the reason this is spoken of so much in our day is bc homosexuality has become so mainstream." Not really, the obsession with Queer people exists as a natural consequence of homophibia. No matter how rare Queer people appear, policing them is continuous or else the stigma wouldn't be so persistent. The church is obsessed with Queer people regardless of how accepted or common Queer people are, it's always been disproportionate and hypocritical. People weren't ostracizing and jailing Queer people in the twenties because it was mainstream. "Like people raising their kids gender neutral." Why is this a moral issue? Morality isn't gendered so why should this be a problem. If gender is really that important then it should affect people without us having to hammer it in. "Hollywood plays a huge roll in this. They promote and encourage homosexuality" Where have you been living. In 2014 there was a cartoon where two women held hands with an ambiguous meaning. This was considered revolutionary Queer representation. "instead of loving the sinner and hating the sin." Love isn't a sin, and if you only Love people for their potential to be someone else then you don't Love them. "But I feel like pastors are focusing on this particular commandment mainly due to the time period in which we live." Like I said, that doesn't match the historical record.
