Our church has had multiple people who consider themselves gay attend throughout the years because our pastors have sought to build a place where those people can come and be ministered to. Through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and the truth of the word of God, several of them have left the lifestyle. I'm so thankful for their example because they are not diluting the gospel and at the same time they are loving the lost and the hurting.

I wish you would not have said "personally I believe"--this opens the door to relativism. I like that you clarified your teaching. Jesus is not tolerant but He is kind and spoke truth which is what I sense from your ministry. Clarity needs to be proclaimed. You are correct, clarity is kindness.

Well said. Observing the cultural shift over the last few years and seeing how many churches have altered their message to embrace that shift has concerned me a great deal. It is obvious to me that a church which asks nothing of its followers has no power to change them for the better; let alone a community or nation. A church that bends to the spirit of the age is effectively group therapy.

Thank you for this good message Pastor. It was learning. It tells us that we must choose. There is no grey area, many of us try to be nice but we must stand firm in the word, with kindness, but not with acceptance by filling our house with sin or with the sin of others. Jesus sat with publicans and sinners, but he stayed with his disciples. It's love, but separation also.

Proverbs 27:5 says "better is open rebuke then hiden love" and i think that "clarity is kindness" conveys that same idea. For a follower of christ to not confront others about their sin and their need to change is not kind at all. Of course we always must remember that all sin seperates us from god, so when confronting someone about their sin of course we cant ever do that in a self righteous way because we had our own sinful poisons that god called us out of, and those sins while maybe being different were still dishonorable to God and separated us from him, but we also cant shy away from certain sins because a culture that is hostile to god says we cant talk about it. Gods word is truth and we must accept it

Thank you. I think you have hit the nail on the head. It's something I have learned recently, too. Too many people, like me, have tried to change God into what WE think He should be, instead of understanding Him for who He is. I have been changing that. I do not think it is being loving to blur, or smooth-over an issue that could result in another person to go to hell. Love the sinner, but hate the sin. Sin is what got us all into this mess we call life, and death. God bless you. God keep you.

Sexual temptation is our "thorn in the flesh". Believers have a new nature- the Holy Spirit- helping us to resist sexual sin now. We all stumble in many ways- but not beyond recovery. This is part of our ongoing Spirit vs. the flesh battle. The Church is blessed to have the testimonies of so many who wrestle(d) with same-sex attraction and gender related issues- Rosaria Butterfield, Becket Cook, Joe Dallas... not to mention, many who wrestle(d) with opposite-sex temptation. "But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:11). You will gain ground in this battle. 1 John 1:9

Well said. When people approached Jesus with a b/w, yes or no legalistic question, it was never a genuine question asked from a place of genuinely wanting to know. They were always trying to entrap Him so they could disregard Him and justify themselves. That's why He responded like He did. I think it's interesting that the Lord told you to close your church. Sounds like a warning to the area, maybe the entire nation. Maybe the world.

Reminds me of how Jesus dealt with the rich young ruler - He certainly brought clarity to the man and faced with a choice he walked away. Jesus did not run after him and try to 'win' him round or compromise; He allowed him to make his decision, though it brought Jesus a heavy heart. 😕

There is a big difference between rejecting a person and rejecting their behavior. The Lord never rejects us or stops loving us, but He often rejects our behavior. He rejects pride, selfishness, lust, and so on, and he clearly rejects homosexuality and calls it a sin. When God calls something a sin it’s to protect us because sin hurts us. It’s important to understand why God calls homosexuality a sin. Our sex is more than our body. There is a spiritual component to males and females. We are not the same either bodily or spiritually. If the Lord has designed us as man and woman it’s because we need to be that to function as intended. It’s ok for a man to love another man. In fact we are supposed to do that, look at David and Jonathan. But to have sex and a family with someone of the same sex is a completely different thing. That’s our lust going astray and by doing that we will get hurt spiritually because we are breaking Gods intent and design. That does not make God love us any less but we grieve Him because we hurt ourself. And that also means that we open up to the devil's attacks. We will have a big hole in our defense that the enemy will use.

The “ perfect” video. Various locations ( highlighting the local area,), edited w all the proper musical nuances.. and a narrative that, never commits to one point clearly. A very ( political) clever message, that never commits , to anything. Religion. Ah, the gift, that really never gives. A far cry from stacking pennies in the name of witchcraft .. a veritable switch to and fro, from one subject to another that satisfies the dramatic moment, but never clarifies the whole. I speak as a highest honors college graduate who after years of shunning the corrupt machinations of shifty religious denominations , embraced God and Christ .. committed to every aspect of the Trinity., abandoned the deceptive dogma, and witnessed , experienced ( and still do), the dark forces of witchcraft against my purity, virtues and righteousness through the Spirit. I’ve had virtually everything taken from me., my health, finances, family , friends… as a straight, non drug, alcohol using individual ., I live every day commited to my faith., despite the horrific circumstances that have now tried to consume my being. That, speaks more truth, sincerity, and commitment than any pretty well choreographed video could ever deliver. Such a very sad state our world resides in.

Pretwnding something you don't believe is ok really is to please people you'd rather not offend, because your church might depend on their support, is only lying to yourself... As well as to them. To be loving means I want to help save you from the eternal fires of hell. I want to save you for eternity close to God, in Heaven. Not I want to accept the satanic wordly ways and call them Holy and put that on a ls a vestment.

Jesus was a narrow minded guy in that he was about his father's business. He never beat about the bush or make the truth more attractive. The Bible said these times would come but don't be afraid. If they don't receive the truth they condem themselves.

There must be a real repentance in the church of sexual lust before it is able to deal with problems like homosexuality! The church has embraced the spirit of lust and is powerless against it! Jesus set the standard of righteousness, If you look at a woman with lust, you have committed adultery! Paul said, to look at a young woman as sister and the older as mother! Anything else is sin! We are told to sin sexually is to sin against the body! It brings sin into the soul! Without confession of these sinful thoughts and acts there is no deliverance, and no power against the evil spirit of lust! Defeat is inevitable! The root of all these sexual abnormalities is this evil spirit.

The telling thing is that gay people's sex is inherently hedonistic and based on deriving pleasure, it is not based on reproduction which is the only valuable function of sex. The fixture on sex is causing an entire generation of Americans to miss out on the important things in life, including God but also including having a career and skills that are not sexually based. Generations of children selling themselves into sex trafficking of all sorts, because of this perversion. I come from a Jewish family, they never once talked about gay people in Hebrew school as far as I remember. But at this point I do not see how it can be treated as something normal. You are not only acting out of the line of god but out of the line of nature and nature will replace you if god cannot change you.

There’s no such thing as a gay lifestyle. Gay men do tend to have more sexual partners, but lesbians do not follow that trend. Some of us are progressive and some are not. Don’t judge the entire community by the loudest and most vulgar voices on the far margins of the community.

I didn't see any part of this video where this pastor judged his congregants or visitors for their sexual practices or implied they were loud or vulger. It was, rather, a kind and respectful explanation of how and why a shepard must remain faithful to the recorded Word of God regarding not only sexual sins, but other areas which need discipleship.
