Son, sexual desire is the greatest temptation of the flesh, but you will be successful because in Jesus Christ, everything is possible. Exercise, dance (even when no one is watching) , read, enjoy every minute and every creature including animals, plants, everything you eyes can see (that belongs to God) because everything is a creation and it is an extension of our Creator, you will learn to see the world thru his eyes by reading his word every day (the whole Bible, not just the NT), dedicate your life to understand the mind of your Creator, and then, you will find that person made just for you, God will be with you in your marriage and every step of your way, and your life will be always blessed by His presence. I've been married 32 years, and I know what I'm talking about.

The hard part if finding a woman who can wait until marriage. I live in Miami where the "easy" culture is prominent. That's just a few of the consequences. Animals don't even live like we do.

@Terry Starr. I also used to struggle with porn, but all that changed when I started to read and learn the word of God and wanted to follow the path of Jesus. As Christians it's our responsibility to follow Jesus everyday and that means to deny ourselves and take up his cross. Now I'm not saying that you don't learn the bible or follow christ, all I'm saying is we should keep ourselves busy with the things of God's kingdom and through doing that daily, we will have a change of heart and mindset. Also don't forget that it's Satan's mission that we continue to live a life of sin as he is always looking for people to devour, and accuse of not being faithful to God. So it's our best interest to be strong in God and his word so we can escape Satan's schemes and follow the path of Jesus.
@lmanyathi76593 жыл бұрын
@Terry Star. Have an honest and sincere prayer and speak to God about your struggle then ask him for guidance and to deliver you from your problem. Another thing is whenever you feel like watching porn, try and find something else you can do which you enjoy but is also not sinful, and find other activities to take the place of porn. Also if ever you fall back, don't feel guilty or shameful, God always respects a repentant heart and he doesn't want us not to approach his throne. After all he is a gracious and merciful God. Where there is a will, there is a way.

As a guy, the best thing to think about is how it can affect the girl your tempted to boink. She may feel loved during sex, but when you leave and you're giving your buddies high fives for popping your cherry, she may feel like she has been abandoned and thrown to the curb. Everyone is a person with feelings, and hurting them is not something you should want to happen. Also, this is how people are, so don't think I'm trying to sound cool. This is literally how many people think.
@TanyaKatherine4 жыл бұрын
Very true and so well said! You are very aware of how girls feel and that is so rare. Its also good for girls to think about how being sexually immoral and having sex before marriage will make their future Christian husbands feel too. It will make them feel like they are always being compared to the past people, and make the bond less sacred and less special. So to hold that until marriage is so important. I wish I knew all this sooner.

Soul ties are strong. I dealt with it and still dealing with it from time to time. When you are still thinking of sex partners that you haven't seen in 10 years or heavily thinking of a past sex partner that you had absolutely no attraction to other than just getting sex, you have soul ties. There are people who still think of old sex partners while they are having sex with their spouses!!! That's cold-blooded. It's the same reason why a woman won't let go of an abusive no good man....soul tie. Even though the devil keeps trying to get me to think of sex, it amazes me that when I allow Christ into my life I have become turned off and grossed out by premarital sex. It's like if I see a good looking woman with very little clothing, the old me would have tried to see if I could get with her to eventually have sex down the road. The new me says "Euuww!" and wants no part of her.

I can relate with #5. I'm in a situation right now that the person I'm dating is not who I see my future with. I've mentioned on a number of occasions that since we're not married I don't want to continue having sex. And he says that's it only natural for anyone who's in a relationship to have sex because it shows affection for one another. I know in my heart that it's wrong so every time after I feel guilty and ashamed. It makes me feel like I've separated myself from God and that I'm a hypocrite. So I feel myself pull back from my relationship with God. I pray that I get out of this situation and find the one God intended for me to be with.

@@flora5817 I was surprised to see that it’s been 3 yrs since that comment. Well, I continued in the relationship knowing it was wrong and I continued with the sin. I begged God to somehow take this person from me because I couldn’t do it in my own strength. I prayed for Him to take anything that didn’t come from Him and was against His will for my life from me. But the years went and nothing changed. I slowly started distancing myself from God because of my guilt. Just 3 weeks ago the man I was in sin with told me he didn’t wish to continue a relationship with me anymore. He slowly distanced himself from me and then completely blocked all communication with me. I was so confused and my feelings over the years had grown intensely for this person. One evening a woman calls my phone asking why I had been persistently calling her husband of 23 yrs. I was in utter shock!!! The entire time he had been married to someone else and I had no idea. Not one ounce of suspicion NOTHING!! I’m still in disbelief. But after weeks of crying out to God asking why and how this could happen. I heard him say (not audibly) “ You knowingly continued this sin and for years I gave YOU the opportunity to end it but you didn’t and now this is the consequence. Betrayal,Heartache, anxiety, loneliness.” For 2-3 weeks it felt like I was going through withdrawals from this man. I yearned for him like never before. I believe it was a soul tie. Today I wish I had done it sooner, I chose to be disobedient and willingly go against God and now I’m suffering the consequences. But God is faithful and merciful. Ultimately my prayer was answered in a way I would’ve never imagined but it has been answered. Even in my own demise God has been comforting me and now I feel his peace over my mind and heart. Hope this helps anyone.

I believe the issue is an unhealthy preoccupation with sex and being unable to separate sexuality and identity. Culturally most people in this generation specifically in the west are inundated with sexual images and stuff quite early on in life and the pressure builds up over the years in ones mind. Then when it is time to date, it is as if the dating experience is not complete unless sex is part of it. My advice to Christian singles who want to please God is just know no man or woman can completely fulfill all your deepest needs, have fun pursuing your dreams, career, hobbies and enjoy your relationship with God. Fellowship with other believers if possible and stop thinking you are missing out because you practice abstinence. When God blesses you with a mate, you can have sex as many times as you want. No big deal :) however if you fall in the area of sex before marriage, pick you self up, remember God loves you and move on. Period! At the end of it all true fulfillment regardless of if you abstained or not comes from renewing your mind and being full of God’s love and peace by being full of God’s word. Blessings!!!!

Sex before marriage isn't to deprive or rob you of sex, but to protect you and help you avoid disrespect. Coz the disrespect often follows you in a form of a person choosing to walk away like you didn't matter or a person feeling entitled to your body and your life(however that may look like-often times brutal), without haven't married you from the first place.

It’s difficult to inform older people that premarital sex is sinful because usually preachers preach on this and gear it to the young. I know many old or older “Christians” who are dating and having sex, or living with a lover, and when I try to send videos and sermons, they are about young people who have never been married or haven’t had experience in this area. Yes, I give them scripture, of course, but some who are in need of explanation and are not willing to believe the Bible and are not saved yet need a stone in their shoe. I know the Lord is the only one that can open their eyes, but it our job to witness

Wow this was extremely helpful. Every young person needs to hear this...if only I knew this when I was 14, things would make so much sense. I wish I knew this years ago because it makes sense and is all true. Even just having sexual feelings before marriage. There was this girl I had a crush on in my all girls Anglican middle school growing up. I was obsessed with her and had so many of my first fantasies about her, I even wrote part of a novel of fantasies of being with her... and even now when I am with the man I want to marry I think back to that rush of excitement of liking that girl and comparing it to how I feel now and how much I will miss those memories and fantasies when I marry since I literally LIVED for those fantasies back then...sexual fantasies were all I had to keep me wanting to wake up another day and go to school. If I did not have sex in my mind or those exciting thoughts I just did not want to live at all back then. I was very interested in girls at a young age since I was at an all girls school from age 4-16. I loved looking at women's bodies and then I got into a relationship with a much older girl at age 15...and it was abusive and sexual and way too mature for me at that age. I see how small things like fantasies can lead to a destructive abusive relationship. Thank God I found greater attraction to males though in the end..I never thought I'd ever get married or have kids...I really do think that was God calling me at a young age to come to him and leave sexual immorality behind.

*The Battle for Purity Starts in Your Mind* “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life” (Proverbs 4:23 NCV). Every temptation starts in the mind. Proverbs 4:23 says, “Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life” (NCV). The battle for sexual purity is won or lost in your mind. Any time you see people really messing up their lives, you can bet their problems didn’t start with their actions, because their actions began with their thoughts. They lingered on dumb thoughts before making dumb decisions. The Bible says this very clearly - and science backs it up: The way you think determines how you feel. Feelings motivate actions. To change your life, you don’t just work on a bad habit, the action. Instead, you work on what caused it - the thoughts that caused the feelings that caused the action. God says your thoughts control your life. This explains how affairs happen. First, you begin by accepting sinful thoughts into your mind. “What would it be like to have sex with that person? Is it so wrong?” You start having doubts, and you start fantasizing in your mind. You begin to think it’s harmless or it’s not. Your thoughts produce feelings. And feelings inevitably lead to actions. You then move into emotional, non-physical involvement. That’s when you start flirting. You start making gestures and comments, subtly or not-so-subtly saying, “I’m available.” Next comes the physical involvement. And finally, you rationalize your actions: “Everybody is doing it. It’s no big deal. We’re both adults.” Your sinful actions started when you accepted sinful thoughts into your mind. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:22 how to manage our thoughts before they ever head down this path: “Turn your back on the turbulent desires of youth and give your positive attention to goodness, faith, love and peace” (Phillips). The Bible tells us to turn away from lustful thoughts and turn instead toward something positive. That two-step process is how you break a temptation before it ever gets started. You’re thinking wrong long before you’re acting wrong. You stop the cycle by turning your back on those sinful thoughts and turning toward goodness, integrity, love, and peace. You’re not an innocent by stander to sexual sin. You have a choice. chat.whatsapp.com/LGnvRN3Iayu7dcp7ZOk2Hs

Try focusing on learning and loving yourself, passions, hobbies, financial goals and realize your worth to be waited on by a special someone. Take time to get inner healing as well through relationship with Jesus.

I was not married, having a relationship to the same man for a long time we disided to to get married I asked God to forgive me and I do feel God gave me a chance, we had kids too and was very sick with my last child but God saved me I really know it was wrong, not being together with him, but in the way I was I needed to be married also so my children see that it is important too I knew I needed to start listening to God and follow his commandments

I always understood it that having sex with your partner IS marriage. Everything else is just a ceremony. If not why does paul say: "What? know you not that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh." (1 Corinthians 6:16) "one flesh" which is the reason for why they should not be divorced according to Jesus: "Therefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder." (Matthew 19:6) Additionally look at the "marriage" of Isaac: "And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death." (Genesis 24:67) No ceremony whatsoever...

But Jesus said to the woman at the well, "You are right when you say you have no husband. You've had 5 husbands, and you're not even married to the guy you are living with now." Don't think that having sex with someone makes you married and makes you excused. There is clear doctrine and spiritual reasons for coming together under a covenant.
@hannahg1596 жыл бұрын
@@pookahchu You're right in saying that. I think the original point here was just that sex is like the binding action of marriage so, we shouldn't think it's natural to do in a casual way with no binding commitment.
@checkthemikecrophone90505 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about being married then yes sex is ok but if your talking about sex outside of marriage then the act of sex would not make you married. If that were the case how can fornication and adultery be two different sexual immoral acts? Because fornication is sex as unmarried and adultery is sex outside of married spouse.

Cam Nguyen when they're trying to tempt you or 'seduce you' then you should run away because the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Even paul said flee fornication. He didn't say walk away he said flee lmao.

I love you to pieces because you are right on Biblically. But, no where in Scripture are we to forgive ourselves. We are to forgive other’s but not commanded to forgive ourselves instead we are to be thankful for God’s forgiveness. The idea of forgiving oneself is mans way.

Sounds really nice... Strong logic and powerful presentation. Still Allen, I wish that you really dealt with the subject from scriptural POV without of course excluding all the other moral/logical arguments. For me, you still did not answer the question of whether there is an express scriptural instruction, whether in the Old or New Testament, that says PREMARITAL SEX IS A SIN.

I'm a 37 year old male and still haven't had intercourse. The first and last thought of every single day is "I still haven't had sex." I'm Christian so from an early age decided it's best to wait for the right person but I never thought I'd still be waiting at this age. I've had some relationships, been on countless dates and had some sexual experience but just not gone all the way. I feel I have missed out on one of the greatest joys in life - true love and sex. It may not be too late but I haven't even come close to being in a relationship for years now. Maybe marriage is not in God's plan for me because a suitable partner seems impossible to find. Yet at the same time I have such a strong desire for one.

It's completely ironic that im quoting Denzel Washington right now,(bc of how much this man resembles him) 😂, but he stasted once, and I truly believe, "True desire in the Heart For Anything Good is God's PROOF to you, sent beforehand, to Indicate, IT'S YOURS ALREADY." - Joyce Meyer, and many other Faith and The Word knowledgeable people have stated the same... Keep the faith - it WILL happen!! 😊

I have a question.. In the days of the Bible.. I read that 2 people didn't get married from a Preacher. They just kinda said they were husband & wife.. then consummated the marriage. I'm sure prayers or something of the sort took place before God.. I'm not sure. So my question is.. 2 people that have committed their life to each other but still haven't technically got married (although they feel married & call each other husband & wife) & have been together for 8 years.. how are they not considered married?(like in the old days when a preacher didn't marry them?) I'm not talking about legal marrige.. I'm talking about marriage in the eyes of God. Some people think, God wants you to get married in front of a Preacher.. but I recently had someone tell me that they didn't even do that back in the Bible days. So my question again is Does God see them married? & if not.. why? Because although the world may change, the Bible never does. Or does the Bible say how a person should get married?

I would also like to know. I'm I the same boat, with children. I am recently starting my journey with Jesus, but now I'm afraid because I feel like I am sinning every day. I can't just keep asking g for forgiveness every day and continue living with my common law husband of 6 years. We are engaged to be married for next summer, but I'm still scared now, and I don't know what to do. He isn't willing to move the date sooner.

It's all about responsibility. GOD loves everyone and we must learn to be responsible. Sex in marriage can even be sour. Marriage is not a guarantee of compatibility. Learn to love and be real friends before going further. The Bible is really proverbial.
