It’s more liberating of the stereotypes surrounding teenagers nowadays and sex as a general, societal premise. Of course, so much more falls under that, too. Truly, this show is magnificent in that regard. However, Season 3 was… interesting, to say the least.

I love this series. I think they have done an outstanding job in casting the roles. Tanya really kills it with her character, even though the cast is so big that she gets a little left to the side sometimes. Her growth arc on season 3 is a profound one, though. A highlight to the season IMO.

Her sister dies and then Tanya's character marries Lord John and they become Willie's guardians. (Her character dies off camera later that season as we then later see Lord John as a widower). It's a very adult part light years from Lily. Tanya is versatile.
